4 Space Musician Friend Rack

I bought 2 of these because my single rack became too heavy to pick up(!)after I replaced my power amp with a Crest CA-9...which weighs 47 Lbs . So I split my rig into 2 cases to make it easier to transport. The musicians friend cases looked really good for the money, and so I ordered 2 from the mail-order site. They arrived quickly in perfect shape, and are really nice racks. They are well constructed and hold my heavy gear without a hitch. They stack nicely, and look good to boot.

2 space case

I purchased the 2 space case. If you are thinking about buying one keep in mind these are very light duty. The wood is very thin. In the desciption it says "Welded rack frame contributes to overall strength of case". I was expecting to see a metal frame inside the case. What they are refering to is the aluminum trim. The case I received has a defect in the black finish on the top of the case. This tells me the quality controll is not great. They could have mounted the feet on that side so the defect was on the bottom, but didn't. I didn't want to go through the process of returning it and waiting for a replacement. The handle is mounted on the cover which makes me feel the my amp will go down a flight of stairs if the latches give out while I'm carrying it. Anyway, to sum it up This is an ok case for keeping out dust during storage. If you're looking for a case that will take a beating, spend a few more bucks on something heavy duty.

    Case ok but had the tip all the screw holes on the metal due to much paint over the holes Sure all of them are like that
