good for larger classical guitars

I had trouble finding a hardshell case for my acoustic-electric classical guitar. My guitar is a bit oversized and the electronics stick-out slightly from the body. This case fits it very well. It's built decently with decent padding inside. It's priced appropriately for the quality. I wouldn't want to rely on this case to protect an expensive instrument in the belly of an airplane. However, it works great for transporting between recording, practicing, etc. A good solid buy.

All classical guitars do not fit in these cases.

The tweed case is extra small and the black case did not fit my classical guitar either. I had ordered both. The tweed came with a big black mark on the front and the black case was small. I had ordered these before reading the reviews. Other people have had similar complaints about the size. I have bought the same brand for acoustic guitars and was completely satisfied. When I first called to complain about the size and the stain on the tweed one, I spoke to a customer service rep who was indifferent and the phone call mysteriously was disconnected. I almost just gave up vowing to never order again from Musician's Friend but then I called again. Another representative handled the problem. He sent me labels to send the items back and was very helpful. I told him because of him I would continue to order from MF. I have ordered in the past year four guitars from MF and many other items like tuners, cases ect. and up until now have been completely satisfied.

It seems like a good case for the money, but since it is oversized relative to the description, I plan to return it.

  • Fits my classical guitar like a glove.

I don't use my classical guitar every day and wanted a case for it to keep it safe until it was needed. This case does the trick. My Valencia guitar fits perfectly and stays safe.

  • Great case for the money

Arrived from GC in a few days, is a perfect fit for my standard-size classical guitar. The tweed cover is thick, quality fabric and the buckles are sturdy and well-fitting. The plush is very soft and of adequate thickness. I would buy again and recommend to others.

The tweed case is strong, well padded, and perfectly sized for the guitars I make as a hobby. This case is slightly smaller than many classical cases, so be sure to check the dimensions carefully. Also note that there are important differences between the black and tweed models. The dimensions in the listing are for the tweed model; the black model is larger. The other difference is in the construction. The black model has a flat top; the tweed version has an arched top which is significantly stronger.

  • Yes, I would purchase it again.

I am using it for my son's guitar. It's sturdy and strong enough for him to carry his guitar without damping.

  • Fit my needs perfectly!

My Martin 00015SM came with a gig bag and I needed a hardshell case for it. Took a chance on this due to the classical guitar shape of my Martin and it fit nice and snug with good neck support and clearance.
