Very solid all around
Detachable hygrometer is nice touch. Special sponge seems to hold more moisture than "damp it" style sponge. A little bulky stretching strings and sitting above guitar but fits in both my hardshell cases w/ no problems.

I attempted to use this product with my dreadnought sized acoustic guitar in a properly fitting Gator case. With the product properly inserted between the strings, the top of the case is forced too tightly against the top of the Humitar. Everytime I opened the case, neither of the buttons would do anything. Each time I had to remove the battery, re-insert, and then obtain a reading. I believe the lining of the case is pressing constantly against the buttons causing the malfunction. I will be attempting to return this to GC.

It is rather old school but it gets the job done with humidity for the guitar.

I don't use it. The product needs distilled water, it is suspended in the sound hole by the strings, and I am not sure it's even necessary. I was told that certain guitars need humidifiers in drier climates due to the wood used. Associate at Guitar Center said the wood can peel back or crack.
I would not purchase again.

My Martin HD 28 case will not close properly with this installed. I can close it but I'm afraid its too much pressure on the strings and top.
