pops no more

I just want to clarify the previous review I had for the 25 foot Mogami Silver XLR cable. The problem of loud popping when you plug or unplug mic or instrument cable from the mixer was eleminated when I started using Mogami Silver XLR. For the money spent on that single cable to solve the LOUD POPPING in the church I think you will agree with me to give this cable 5 Stars.

Cable quit working after 7 months

Used to replace cheap mic cable that lasted for years thinking this was an upgrade and come to find out in the middle of a gig it just stopped working! So dissapointed thinking mogami is the "best"?! My golds are sgill good but this one failed when I needed it most and caused a panic to resolve the problem. I even ordered another mixer with rush shipping before my next gig thinking maybe it was the mixer going out cause i never expected this cable to just fail so soon. Replaced with live wire elite and that worked perfectly. I never write reviews but this wire caused me a major headache when it just died in the middle of singing at my gig. Always just left the cable hooked up to my mixer and would just wind it back up every weekend and lay it back on the table so not like it was abused or anything.

Mogami cables deliver what feels like a baffle free tone. What I put in to the cable comes out the other end with seeming colored with a frequency change in my highs, mids, or lows.

  • I would buy it again

I bought this for my home studio. And it's a home run. I have a MXL 990, rode NT1 ,AKG c414. Oh and the presonus that came with my audio interface. This mic sounds so good. Signal is hot and clear. No noise. Buy it. You'll be glad you did.

I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. The only company that lists gauge is Live Wire " Livewire Elite Quad XLR" 24 gauge
