This thing is awesome! It's extremely easy to put on, and once on, very easy to adjust. It's also very sturdy; good metal, and great cymbals. It gives off a great sound; does just what it's intended to do. It's performance is great; especially if you like adding effects in your drumming. John Henry Bonham, Led Zeppelin's drummer, had one very similar to this, so you know it's a great addition to your kit! Buy it, have some fun with it, and put it to good use!

When I first opened this when I ordered three's a pair sticks I was thrilled with how awesome this would sound with my set. After about two weeks, the individual screws for each jingler loosened, and two fell off. I would definitely NOT recommend this, I'm looking now to get a refund somehow and buy a mountable tambourine or something from DW.

Amazing.

Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

I picked this up at guitar center as a last minute thing to add to my kit before I went home. And let me tell you, if you are a Led Zeppelin fan, this brings the true feel to Moby Dick. It is also great for keeping time when you are playing a tough song with your band, and it just looks and sounds awesome. Definately a must-buy for your kit!

Hi-Hat Tambourine

By Jared Mason

from Suffolk, Virginia

Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

First off let say that this thing is amazing! This is the first tambourine i have ever owned and i have not been play very long at all. 4 months and not a single lesson. It is very accessible. As i was looking at this tambourine I figured that it might be to large for my Hi-Hat but I, yet again, was wrong. Thankfully it was only I do believe it is 8 inches wide or less. The " cymbals" on the tambourine are nice too. - Thank you for your time. Jared M.

BONHAM SOUND!

By oscar

from miami, fl

Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

By far the best tambourine I have played! I am a big fan of the John Bonham sound since he was the innovator of this marvelous tool, so I went ahead and picked it up. Please don't go for the other brands, this is it. Not only does it add to your playing but it can be played w/ your stick w/ out it breaking. Enjoy!

Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine

By Mike Laughridge

from Meridian, Idaho

Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

This is fantastic. It adds a great sound to your drumming. I get to the point where I cant play without it. For the price its the best without spending 30.00 bucks or more for the real high end ones. Love the sound!

Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

This is really a great addition to any kit. I picked one up earlier as a last minute thing on way out of guitar center and tried it out when i got home....all i can say is that it was great, no doubt about. it looks great and feel quite normal, i would recommend this to anyone who wants that extra little "oomf" to their kit.

    Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

Right out of the box I knew I had bought a quality Meinl product. It's built to last, has a great tone, and is extremely well made. I haven't played my kit without it since it came and having another instrument added to my kit at such a good price...that makes for a happy drummer.

I got what I paid for.

    About Me Experienced

    Comments about Meinl Hi-Hat Tambourine:

I'm more of a punk/hard rock drummer that likes to try different genres on the side, and I was hoping this would help me with some Math rock sounds i was looking for. It's more utilized for blues and classic rock, but I might go with a Double row next time to get the fuller sound i was looking for. I'm still happy i bought it, because it still works great with acoustic jams and blues.

I am a beginner but putting in practice time daily. I wanted that John Bonham sound and this truly delivered. You can play the ring to give a little more or just run you foot for a more subtle sound. Only draw back, wooden sticks on a metal ring...eats the sticks! Solution, add a section of rubberized tape on your contact side and Bam...problem solved! I would highly recommend this product.
