Description
The Martin GPC-13E Ziricote acoustic-electric guitar is a premium Grand Performance model that provides rich, balanced tone and playability with upgraded cosmetic details. The solid Sitka spruce top and ziricote back and sides—an exotic wood with deep hues and captivating grain patterns—produce full-bodied sound with crisp highs and focused lows. The GPC-13E is ideal for musicians seeking an inspiring instrument to ignite their creativity.
Fishman Electronics Provide Plugged-In Performance
The GPC-13E includes Fishman MX-T electronics with volume and tone controls for shaping your amplified tone. A built-in tuner offers discreet stage tuning by automatically muting the output signal. Phase and notch filters help reduce feedback at high volumes so you can focus on your playing.
Playability and Appointments for the Stage
A modified low-oval neck profile and Richlite fingerboard provide a comfortable playing experience during long sets and recording sessions. Stunning mother-of-pearl pattern inlays, multi-stripe rosette border and white binding elevate the GPC-13E's luxurious esthetic. Enclosed chrome tuners keep your instrument in tune through dynamic performances.
Premium Protection for the Road
The GPC-13E comes with a premium soft shell case for safe transport and storage. Padded handles and a durable exterior protect your investment when traveling between rehearsals, gigs and recording dates. Generous storage compartments allow you to keep accessories organized in one convenient place.

Absolutely fantastic guitar

I was looking for an acoustic that sounded great plugged in, and I found it! Also played it unplugged, side by side with guitars that were twice the price. It sounds better! The tone is so smooth and even across all the frequencies. Great bass without being boomy. Great high end without being tinny
Best experienced/budget guitar you will find

I've been playing guitar ever since I was a little kid, starting out on an old japan nylon, switching over to a taylor gs mini, and mainly playing a seagull s6 coastline through high school. When I was moving to college, I decided I wanted to get a good martin guitar and sort of jumped the gun on this one. However, I must've played every guitar that came through my local guitar center and I wouldn't have switched out my gpc-13e for anything else. It is the best fingerpicking guitar I have ever played where every string brings out the same perfect volume without the bass scoop I find common on the 000's. I would even argue this guitar rivals most of the Martin standard series for half the price. With this guitar and a Martin HD-28e, I see no other reason to buy another acoustic guitar in my life.
Martin Playability - Solid Feel

I wanted a quality playing guitar that would stand up to an unfavorable humidity regime in winter. There are a number of things incorporated into this guitar which could potentially make it more stable than many acoustic guitars. For that reason I think it will travel well also. It sounds good. It's not a D-28 and it's not meant to be. Seems well balanced. Strums great. Very good sustain. Solid feel to the construction but the instrument feels light. It does need a setup in my opinion. And the jury is out on the Martin strings it came with.
Gorgeous Sound... Gorgeous looks. This one stands out!

I moved into this guitar from an all solid Martin D-16... was looking for a grand performance body size. Obsessively tried them all (taylor 214 & 314, larrivee 02 & 03, martin gpc 11 & 13). Yes, I choose a ziricote veneer over ALL of them. I initially turned up my nose at the thought of replacing a solid wood guitar with veneer back and sides. In the end I followed my ears and my gut (and could not be happier!) The 1 3/4 nut width made this an easy choice over the taylor 214 (the 214 has narrower 1 11/16). This won on sound over all of them (including the gpc 13e- solid wood martin). This is a gorgeous stand out guitar that combines amazing sound with incredible looks.
