Excellent Product
You know, you really just can not beat that authentic Marshall tone! I recently purchased the MG100HFXRS and I have to say it is way above my expectations and Im very pleased with it. It does more than I need it to and for its size, it packs a mean punch! It"s sound is unbelievable! If you like Marshall, you'll love this amp! Theres nothing difficult about it, and it can be used by a beginner or an experienced player. Im very happy with this product.

i am selling my purple mg half stack
i have used this amp for a year.ibought my mg half stack in decmber of 2008,in july of 2009,guitar center had to replace the head,it just quit working,i could not even get any static out of it,it was just dead.me and my drummer buddy invited a new guitarist to jam with us,he showed up with a crate twin 12 120 watt combo amp and just melted my mg,i was embarrassed.the mighy marshall half stack drowned out by a combo.the main problem with this amp is volume.the amps sound and tone start to muddy and break up around the half way point on the volume knob.my marshall mg half stack is going up for sale,so i can get a crate or peavy.

The first thing i noticed when i played my MG was the quality of the tone in the clean channel, this amp has one of the best sounding clean channels i have ever herd. then the 3 drive channels blew my mind with their heavy, yet clear tone, and great effects. I am very pleased with this amp, it's got a great sound and lots of POWER!
Mix and match w/the cab

Well I'd say the set-up is totally affordable; however, I only bought the cab and matched it with a B-52 ATX-100 Tube Head. I love the way the cab produces clean tones and it's great w BOSS pedals. Also, added a CRY BABY WAH pedal and Marshalls celestion speakers made the sound rip when I add distortion for metal tones. If you want an affordable Marshall Cab, this is the way to go and the color is just awesome. Tubes are always best though!
Great for Solid State

I'm impressed. I've owned last year's purple model since it came out new, and I just got the red one for home use so I can take the purple one gigging without having to lug it all around. I've been using marshall tube amps and a Peavey JSX for some time, and bought these for their durability and longevity. What impressed me is that I lost very little sound for the switch to solid state. I'll probably continue to buy every year's color until they stop making it, which in my opinion would be a mistake on Marshall's part, since they're attractive, sound good, and are super affordable.
Great amp if you don't play heavy music

What a great looking stack. But that's all it's good for if you play anything harder then rock. I bought this amp under a tight time restraints. Absolutely no distortion. This is a Marshall, it's "overdrive". If you want this amp and play metal, look into getting a pedal for this thing. I tried with a MXP Fullbore Metal pedal and still couldn't get the sound that I wanted. So I purchased the Crete 120W half-stack from this site. WAY BETTER.
Great amp

This is one of the best solid state amps i have heard. It does great for distortion but when it comes to a clean setting, I wish the output was way better. I've had it for about two months and have played 3 gigs with it and it has never failed me for distortion. I have a Fender Standard Stratocastor with a Seymour Duncan Hotrail in it but i would never use a single coil that wasn't noiseless for it if i was going to turn the volume up.So besides the whole low output on the clean setting its great. I also have a Boss metal core and it just roars its great i can get alot of sounds out of it. This amp is very affordable I will eventually replace it but it does great for right now and if you wouldnt want to get this i would get a peavy valve king.
