I have owned several Marshall amps and i have played 1969 super leads and 50 watters and this amp is the one amp ill take to the grave! It doesnt have the extra gain stage that the slp's have but it has more than enough crunch to do anything except metal or harder rock. Clean's are a fender's wet dream and rythem crunch and punch is freight train in your face. The only thing i would change is the speakers and the tubes. They are great and all but J&J's are really muddy at full vol. and the speakers are too bright(most of the time) Celestion G12C's from the hendrix cab's and NOS RCA tubes all around!
