Mackie DLM12 2,000W 12" Powered Loudspeaker

Description
One of the most significant technological innovations of the DLM line is Mackie TruSource Technology. It's a potent combination of a brand-new, completely unique, transducer design and powerful proprietary digital signal processing. At the heart of the DLM12 is the extremely compact TruSource driver, which combines the high- and low-frequency driver into a vertically aligned, common-magnet design that is ultra-efficient and extremely capable. The sonic reproduction is incredibly transparent across the entire frequency range.
Drawing on the powerful mixing capabilities of the popular Mackie DL1608, DLM Series loudspeakers feature a powerful integrated digital mixer with all the effects, processing and tools you need for your professional applications. That makes the DLM speakers truly a one-box solution for many applications.
These speakers are ideal for bands, DJs and venues, as their versatility is the only thing that rivals their fidelity. They can be pole-mounted, wall-mounted, flown, stacked and carried. They are lightweight, rugged and sound fantastic.

The Ultimate Compact PA/Studio Speaker! Yes...It's that good

Have been demoing mid-to-high end speakers and finally have decided on the Mackie DLM 12's! They are powerful, clean and clear, mids and highs well balanced, smooth and excellent low end. Other high end speakers suffered from slight harsh mids and highs at high volume, boxy and weak low end. However, these are all mitigated by the type of song and mix, which can easily affect overall sound quality. Nonetheless, I was amazed by the sonic clarity and tight low end characteristics of the DLM 12's. I wished I had tried these at the very beginning of my quest, thereby saving me months and months of laborious and painstaking speaker trials and tribulations. Plus the size of the DLM12's are simply amazing, too!..half the size of normal main speakers! Plus, you can probably use these as studio monitors, given the accurate and articulate reproduction of all sonic frequencies. Consequently, as a fastidious audiophile of epic proportion, I must say, without equivocation, that the DLM12's are the ultimate "multi-use" speakers of all time!

We use these DLM12's for weddings and bar events. The fidelity of these speakers is great. We find that the vocals come through very clearly. Either playing pre-recorded music or using a mic. Portability/reliability is key with any mobile system. 3 years no issues. These speakers are extremely portable and have you covered with the digital mixer built-in. ** Remember to clear the "feed back destoyer" every time you use it. The computer stores all feed back frequencies. Making the speaker output slightly change. Ceremonies are a breeze since all you need to bring is one speaker ! We find that 2 Dlm12's and one DLM12s (sub) can comfortably cover approx* 180 people. That being said, as a wedding Dj you need to know what your gear can and can not do. Every system has limitations. We have received many compliments on our system when using these speakers. Also, they are not as visually intimidating as some standard speakers. Something to think about when you have to place a speaker near tables. If larger room fill is needed, we use a set of the DLM8's wirelessly (with time delay feature). Overall I am very happy with these speakers. Over 17 years wedding experience.

I am EXTREMELY happy with this piece of gear. I've had my eye on making this move for the last 2 years and was finally able to get this done this month. I read about this as an option for a keyboard amplifier in Keyboard magazine. I previously had a Roland KC-300, which I'd had since 1999. It served me well, and was still in great shape, but has always been too heavy. Being light weight, was the main reason I got the DLM-12. I was able to take advantage of the trade in trade up program that GC has, and also the 15% off coupon for July 4th, which helped to make this possible. The only issue I have is that there is a hiss when the speaker is connected to my keyboard, and I haven't figured out why. I've tried a quarter inch cable, and a quarter inch to xlr cable, but get the same thing. It's not a deal breaker in the least, but I would love to have a completely clean sound. I'm sure I'll get that figured out in no time. Having the 2000W of power is awesome, but that is really just gravy in my case. I'm primarily a jazz pianist and aren't really playing things that will peal the paint off the walls, but if I wanted to, with this I could. I definitely recommend this as an option to consider as an amplifier if you play keys.
I would buy this product again and again

I use the amp for keyboards. The piano amplification is the best I've heard. The amp is lightweight and powerful. Great purchase!

I ordered a used pair of these from GC in Bakersfield, CA after reading a recommendation in Keyboard magazine as well as from a friend who has a studio and uses some Mackie equipment. These lightweight boxes are great for keyboards with clear, high volume power, being the speakers I've basically been waiting decades for the arrival of.
Just Simply Amazing!

I got two of the DLM12's to use with my Axe FX II and these speakers are just amazing. With the onboard mixer and the ability to save EQ Scenes for a variety of different settings, I get clarity of tone for my guitar that I didn't think possible. And wen they say 2,000 watts... they MEAN 2,000 watts!! I turn the speakers on half volume and I cant get my Axe FX II above volume level "3" without it being ear splitting!! Weighing in at 31 pounds a piece, they make up the LIGHTEST guitar rig I have ever played with live!!

what would be a good mackie mixer to use as a dj for the dlm 12/2000 w
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. I don’t know what mixer a DJ would use. DJs use controllers.
