There are three different models in Mackie's CR series the CR3, CR4 and the CR5, each with 3", 4" and 5" woofers that pump out punchy bass and silk dome tweeters that deliver smooth, articular highs. And while they all vary in size and price, there are a few features that are standard on every monitor in the CR series. These include a dedicated input on the front for smartphone playback and a convenient front panel volume knob with a lit power ring that lets you know when it's powered up and ready to go. Each of these monitor pairs pack a full 50 watts of power, something you'd never expect to find in a small format reference monitor.
The Mackie CR series also includes monitors that are equipped with Bluetooth technology. The CR4BT 4" and the CR5BT 5" let you seamless stream music from any device that's equipped with Bluetooth. All you have to do is open the settings menu on your device and select the Bluetooth menu. Next, push and hold the Bluetooth button on the CRBT and within seconds it should appear on your device's menu. When the green light stops flashing on the CRBT, you're ready to rock and roll.
