Description

The Byzance Fast Hi-hat features two different finishes, enabling a dry immediate response, an extremely fast chick, and a short sustain.

The Byzance Brilliant Finish series is handmade in Turkey using B20 bronze alloy. The cymbal's finish is extremely bright due to Meinl's two-step buffing process. The sound has a full mature dark tone that is good for almost any style of modern music.

    These are an amazing set of hi hats! I've been searching for 20 years and finally found the sound I was looking for. These are quick and responsive. They sound awesome played half open for those heavier moments too. I like how the bottom cymbal is a Byznce Dark and the top is a Byzance Brilliant-the two are a perfect marriage! I have since incorporated a mixture of Brilliant and Dark series rides and crashes around the rest of my kit. Talk about diversity I can now get loud/explosive sounds or dark/crisp sounds in any array that I want-whenever. Meinl makes some of the most beautiful cymbals out there. Since I put the first set of Meinl's (Fast Hats) on my kit, I will never use anything but Meinl. They have a cymbal for any type of of music. Good luck and enjoy!!!!

    These are stunning cymbals. I have the 14" and the sound is tight, crisp and dominant. I absolutely love the appearance. The brilliant finish is very attractive, yet the bottom cymbal has a cool, dark and mysterious look. I think these are the perfect hi-hat cymbals. Also good for very fast foot action with the perforation holes around the edge. I am looking forward to getting the 13" next.
