I went into Guitar Center and was checking out all the monitors they had. I heard the Events, Mackies,KRK and the M-Audio's. For the price there was no doubt that the M-Audio's were the one's I wanted. I took them to my studio and WOW. I was blown by the clarity, the punch and the overall sound of these things. They blow the mackies out of the water. I would get them if you are looking for an awesome sounding monitor that you can hear every little detail!!!!

These are good monitors. Good, not great. If your in this price range, definitely consider these. Also look into Event. I plan to get a second pair for referencing to these. Good highs, good bass response, good durability!

I just Love these speakers from M-Audio, I only wish I bought mine here, I would have saved some money. But on with the monitors. I have heard them all. I have been in several pro recording studios in Chicago IL and home studios alike. The one thing that most sticks out for me with the M-Audio Powered Studio Monitors is the flat responce from the monitors. You can switch frequencys around to tweek the tone but why do it. From mixer to headphones to your car stereo you wont find a better Monitor for home or even Studio use then these Monitors. As we all know, the worst thing about recording is after hearing your mix for the last several hours and then dumping it to CD only to listen to it in your car and the sound is horrible. Maybe too much bottom end or highs. With M-Audio Powered Monitors your audio referance point is right where you want it. Flat! and in the middle. Mix it down right the first time, Because you heard it right the first time. With M-Audio Powered Studio Monitors. Take it from me, I use them in my studio everyday.
