From humble Chicago, Illinois beginnings to their current Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters, Ludwig has spanned over 100 years of American drum manufacturing. As one of the most respected names in drums, Ludwig has captured a total of 10 Drum Corps International drum titles with Spirit of Atlanta, The Bridgemen and The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps.

Ludwig Ultimate tenors feature deeper all-maple 6-ply shells hardware and a diagonal cut for the “Ultimate” in projection, tone and durability. 5-ply reinforcement rings, hand-sanded bearing edges, and our exclusive RFST molding process complete the unmistakable "Ludwig Sound".

All Ludwig Ultimate tenors feature the Randall May Free-Floating Lug Bridge and ship pre-assembled.
