Lucero

collapse expand iconDescription

The Lucero LC100 classical guitar offers an authentic nylon-string acoustic tone and traditional styling at an affordable price. The LC100 is crafted with a laminated spruce top and mahogany back and sides for a warm, resonant sound. Its comfortable neck and fingerboard are also mahogany, with an ideal 1-11/16" nut width for effortless playability. Now you can experience the musicality of classical guitar at an excellent value.

Laminated Spruce Top Provides a Clear, Articulate Voice

The LC100's spruce top is laminated for durability, and delivers the crisp, balanced tone spruce is known for. Its resonant properties give single notes and chords a ringing, singing quality. Spruce is a perennial favorite for classical guitars thanks to its ability to reproduce the harmonic nuances and dynamic range of nylon strings with stunning accuracy.

Mahogany Back and Sides Offer a Rich Low End

The LC100's mahogany back and sides provide a solid tonal foundation, with a warm, rounded low end and pleasant midrange. Mahogany's dense grain helps project volume while also enhancing the spruce top's clarity. The combination of spruce and mahogany is a proven formula for an authentic classical guitar tone with a perfectly balanced frequency response.

Comfortable Playability for Beginners and Beyond

With its slim, rounded neck profile, the LC100 is designed with player comfort in mind. Its shorter 25-1/2" scale length reduces tension for an effortless feel, while still providing full, ringing tones. Eighteen frets offer ample room for soloing. Whether you're new to classical guitar or looking to expand your collection, the LC100 delivers an inspiring playing experience.

Premium Components and Timeless Style

The LC100 features open-gear tuners, a rosewood bridge and an elegant rosette for a touch of vintage flair. A natural gloss finish highlights the resonant tonewoods. With its traditional lines, fan bracing and uncompromising quality, the LC100 brings the rich musical heritage of classical guitar to you.

Great 1st guitar.

I just recently started playing guitar a few months ago, and this happened to be my first guitar as a gift. From top to bottom the guitar is beautiful..the frets are nice and spaced out, and the strings are very soft..which is good if you're just starting as it's easier on your fingers. One thing I don't particularly like about this guitar is the inability to reach extremely high notes..even the 15th fret is tough to reach, but all in all it's a great guitar for only 100 bucks.

An ok practice guitar

I've had this guitar for two years now and when I first got it, it was because the guitar was cheap and I wanted to practice technique. First the good. This guitar is unbeatable for the price and it doesn't sound half bad. Now for the terrible... The action on mine came set WAY to high, and on top of that this thing buzzes everywhere if your not precise and technical in your playing. For the longest time I thought the reason I couldn't get a clean sound out of this thing was that my playing was too sloppy... Not so, I've played other more expensive classical guitars and the difference was night and day. If you just need something to sit down and mess around with go for it, but spend a little more money and get something that plays much better.

Cheaply made. The bridge came off the first time I used it. Don't waste your money. Guitar city was great about giving me my money back.

Decent guitar for the low price. Will need a setup and new strings. A new set of strings really brought out the tone.

I recommend this guitar to all my beginning classical guitar students. I own one as well, purchased when the Lucero LC100 first was marketed in the US.

Hi. What's the width of the arm? I just bought a Yamaha that's too thin for my fingers. There is no reference about it in the description. Thanks

The LC100 is not good for small hands. Classical guitars, by design, have wider necks than steel string guitars.

You're right on the border. I learned on a full size guitar at age 9. I would say yes.
