X-LED XLR gooseneck Light ONLY for mixers with 12 volts DC

I did not know that this will only work with a constant 12 volts DC and not with the phantom power. I learnt that it was meant to be fixed to a mixer that has a separate xlr connector and not onto the microphone input jack. So when I mounted this onto a podium to match my gooseneck microphone it just does not work. As a solution, I had to find a separate 12 volts DC power supply and soldered it to the female xlr D chassis, and when I plug in the light it turned on. The other issue is the position of the light as it would not shine directly downwards. I have to twist it now and again. This is a hack job for a light that is not meant to be a podium mount. Maybe the packaging should state it clearer to avoid disappointment!

A bright light that does not get too hot. It's really cool if you are on an M7 or similar with a dim able output as the light dims smoothly in white light and finishes dimming in red light for the true theater style. Well made. It's my third one with another plug configuration so I can have one for whatever board I visit.
XLR lamp for Mixer-Plug and Play-Easy

I've been looking for an XLR (3 connector) gooseneck lamp to plug into my mixer. The mixer already had the XLR plug in the board but no light. Ordered the Littlite X-LED XLR Gooseneck Light 18" and received it in 4 days. Plugged in the lamp and it came on, no problem. Nice even white lighting. My audio board is only a 12 channel mixer so the 12" light would have worked just as well but now I have an additional 6" to move to the sides to see the area around the board in case I need more light on my peripherals. The gooseneck holds its bend well. Only con is that there is no on/off switch on the light itself and is powered on/off by the mixer. I recommend Littlite for you lighting needs.
