LP makes solid percussion instruments. Needed to pick up a vibraslap for when my band performs one of our songs live. I was pleased that there was one available at my local Guitar Center. Very quick process to go in, look at the selection and pick one up. I would recommend this vibraslap if you are looking for a vibraslap.

I was at guitar center today to pick up some picks for my bass guitar, and my eyes drifted towards the percussion center. Being a musician and wanting to play every instrument i can get my hands on, I felt like a kid inside of a candy shop. I tried out the electric drums, egg shakers and much more. But then, something most peculiar caught my eye. This vibraslap. I picked it up and used it, and my life feels complete.
Disappointed - no sustain

Good sound, but no sustain: barely 1 second. Have tried all adjustments I can think of and can't improve the sustain. This instrument is better than nothing, I guess, but hardly achieves the effect I'm looking for.
Good but definitely not the best

I used to own a Vibraslap II many years ago. I seem to recall at the time that it was just a Vibraslap… there weren't options. Anyway, I wanted to add one back into my arsenal of assorted percussion instruments, so I decided to go for the less expensive one. It has that classic Vibraslap sound, for sure, but when the rattle portion is rotated flat, which gives the loudest sound, there's very little sustain… it dies out almost instantly. Turned on the long end, which is intended to give a longer, quieter rattle, it works pretty well. But of course is a lot quieter. Overall, if you just want a Vibraslap as a novelty or are only willing to spend the bare minimum to get this sound, you'll be happy with this. But if you are really going for that big, obnoxious Vibraslap sound (since that's really what this is all about), it's worth spending more for the Vibraslap II.
Not much sustain

I have to whack the holy bediddlekins out of this thing to get a 1-second sound. I'm thinking of adding some weight to it for longer sustain.
just as described
