LP

collapse expand iconDescription

LP Mountable Double Sambago Bells have roots that can be traced to Africa and then to the metal agogo bells played throughout Brazil. LP introduced the wooden agogo bell in the 1960s to extend the tonal range of this traditionally metal instrument. The use of high impact plastic in the creation of LP Sambago bells delivers a crisp and consistent sound unlike any existing instrument.

Sambago bells quickly and easily attach to any 3/8"-diameter mounting rod with the included LP eyebolt assembly.

Pitched so that they have complimentary tones-high and low-approximately one minor third apart. LP sambago bells offer brilliant sound combined with bold, colorful looks that make them perfect for professional percussionists yet simple enough for novice musicians.

Specific songs require the sound. Bit pricey but needed.

Well-made, durable and useful but better for quieter applications.

Perfect for sound effects. Loud projection with the right stick.

I needed a way to play a clave at an upcoming gig. Found that the high pitched Sambago bell works great for that. The only think I'll say is that the low pitched Sambago bell (purple one) has almost the exact same pitch as the LP High Pitch Jam Block. Regardless, LP always comes through. Great products.

I just bought these, and they're amazing, the high pitched sound that the bells can reach is really nice, and they're not so explensive for the things that those can do.

  • Great Sounding, Bad Mounting

I recieved these for my birthday last year, and I was very impressed with the sound. But, when I mounted it on my hihat stand, it slid down after a few pushes on the pedal. I tightened it as tight as it would go, and it still slid down, but not back up. When I tried to unscrew it, it wouldn't budge, so I had to use pliers to pry it off. If it falling down is not an issue, get this. It has a great high pitched pop sound to it and it is very durable. The only reason this is 3 stars is because of the mounting
