CURV 500 ES

Description
The compact, transport-friendly CURV 500 is an array system with 4 interlocking satellites, which are operated via a SmartLink adapter. The elements, only 5 x 5”, are equipped with LD System's own WaveAhead® technology. One 4" and three 1" drivers provide a coherent and extremely detailed playback with high pressure and dynamics.
The 10" bass-reflex subwoofer houses the Class D power amplifier and includes a limiter, protection against short circuit, overheating, over-voltage, as well as a 4-channel mixer with 16 digital effect presets and Bluetooth. Combo, and Speakon- compatible sockets offer extensive connectivity options, and the subwoofer features four digital system presets, an M20 threaded flange and three ergonomic carrying handles.
The Entertainer Set can be operated in stereo mode with a total of eight array satellites (max. four on each side). This variant is particularly useful in voice applications, where bass playback is not in the foreground. Speakers or moderators especially appreciate the clarity, transparency and typical benefits of array systems. With the Power Extension set, the Entertainer Set can provide even more power at any time, especially in the bass range, thus expanding to a high-performance Power Set.

Best full range sound in a "line array" compact system!

I know this has been on the market a few years and far more popular in Europe than the States. A couple of points: (I tried to leave a detailed review but ran out of space) 1. My QSC k10's are dying and have been my "GO TO" speakers for several years. They are warm, full, and even across the spectrum. (They had replaced a couple of Bose mini's in stereo because while they had plenty of clarity.. everything else was lacking) 2. K'2s were an option but I thought i would hunt for a better column array with all the clarity and wide dispersion, but also have the mid warmth and bottom end punch of a quality point source speaker. I found many "sticks" lacking because most column "line array" speakers are too small so they bump the crossover on the sub to handle lows and the entire mid section. 3. Then I found it. A PA combining the benefits of both stick and P/S systems into a unique modular system including 4 4" drivers coupled with 12 1" drivers and an lightweight 10" sub (35lbs) that includes a mixer/good effects (think convolution reverb, not tin can, usable delays, phantom power for condenser mics, BT and stereo inputs). The results of this design with respect to sound was literally jaw dropping. It's a cross between the beautiful full range warmth and presence from quality point source speakers, and the 360" airy, clear highs of quality stick systems. The sub is tight and punchy, yet very natural (wood cab) as well. I've seen a couple of reviews concerning low volume... usually from the mic input. I have Zero issue with this using a condenser mic. In my opinion, this thing gets extremely loud for its size all things considered. Get the TS big brother if you are a touring rock band. Using this in stereo fills a full bar with crystal clear sound from back to front for an acoustic trio with a small mic'd kit without a sweat. In conclusion, Absolutely STELLAR SOUND for the money, contends with the new Bose F1 series for half the price so get the set.
Awesome and Unique!

This is a very modern looking speaker system. They arrays have a very wide clear sound. The mixer is a plus, as well as the Bluetooth. The Sub is punchy, and well defined.
