Behind every instrument there's a story, and the story of Kremona guitars is nothing short of legendary. Their origins go all the way back to World War I, and an arms designer named Dimitar Georgiev. Although he was good at what he did, he knew his talents would be put to better use making tools for creation rather than destruction. It was that desire, combined with the solace he'd found in his mandolin through the war, that led Georgiev to leave the arms trade when he returned to his homeland of Bulgaria. Following his heart, he began hand-carving fine stringed instruments, starting a tradition that lives on in Kremona guitars to this day. With a history as amazing as that, it's no surprise that Kremona makes guitars to very high standards - anything less would be a disservice to Dimitar Georgiev's memory. Attention to detail is one of the things that makes a Kremona a Kremona, and their high level of craftsmanship has a laundry list of benefits. For one, these guitars are easy and inviting to play. Better yet, they have a really timeless sound quality - just as you'd expect from such storied instruments. Any guitar in Kremona's lineup is a fine example of the brand's workmanship, but if you're looking for a specific starting point as you browse, the Soloist S65C Classical Acoustic Guitar is a good one. This nylon-string instrument is decked out with a rosewood headstock overlay, gold tuners and a gorgeous natural-look finish on the body. Another standout is the Kremona Rosa Blanca Flamenco Guitar. It wouldn't be a stretch to call this beauty the pinnacle of Kremona design and craftsmanship, and it's a perfect choice for any musician searching for that unmistakable Latin sound. It may have been a century since Dimitar Georgiev stood on the front lines thinking about music, but his creative philosophy is alive in well in the modern lineup of Kremona guitars. Owning one of these instruments is like owning your own piece of musical history, and they've got the look, feel and sound to prove it. If you're a classical guitar enthusiast, a Kremona definitely belongs in your collection.
