The Keeley Angry Orange distortion & fuzz pedal gives you a versatile palette of saturated distortion and fuzz tones in one compact stompbox. Designed for serious guitarists seeking unique distortion flavors, it combines two classic circuits from different eras, allowing you to blend tones or switch between them with the stomp of a footswitch.

Shape Your Tone With Two Distinct Circuits

The Angry Orange features a 1978 Japanese Orange distortion circuit known for its thick, saturated distortion and a 1991 Soviet Civil War Fuzz circuit renowned for its ragged, splattery fuzz. You can blend these circuits or switch between them to craft your own signature distortion. The Orange distortion delivers a heavy but focused distortion, while the Fuzz generates a looser, more unruly fuzz perfect for experimental sounds.

Dial in the Perfect Balance of Highs and Lows

Shape your distortion tone with the Angry Orange's passive tilt-style tone controls. When using the Orange Distortion circuit, the tone control scoops the mids for a bold sound with defined highs and lows. The Fuzz circuit's tone control voices the mids slightly differently for more tonal variation. You can also blend the tone controls of both circuits to create hybrid fuzzstortion sounds with extra midrange girth.

Hard or Soft Clipping—You Decide

The Angry Orange provides two types of diode clipping to further shape your saturated tones. The Orange Distortion features hard clipping diodes for an aggressive, edgy distortion. The Fuzz employs soft clipping diodes for a smoother, more compressed fuzz tone. You can also blend the clipping from both circuits to generate unique fuzzstortion sounds with complex clipping characteristics.

True or Buffered Bypass—You Choose

The Angry Orange offers the flexibility of true-bypass or buffered-bypass switching. True bypass is ideal if you want an uncolored signal path, while buffered bypass prevents signal loss, keeping your tone strong and preventing popping when the effect is disengaged. You can switch between modes by holding the footswitch for two seconds. The Angry Orange's buffered bypass was designed to complement the pedal's complex circuitry, providing a clean, transparent buffer.
