I'm learning the blues and the slide is great

I like how the slide allows me to easily switch between slide and non-slide usage. A well designed product.

This slide allows you to play and chord the fretboard pretty much the way you normally would; however, you can quickly flip it right back into slide mode. I never used a slide because trying to figure out where to put one while you were playing other parts of the song was always a problem, not to mention trying to quickly get it back on for the next slide part. This solves the problem. The Jetslide is worn like a ring and when you don't need it in a particular part of a song, you merely flip it back and it is behind your fingers. When you need it again, reach up with your pinkie finger and pull it back into place. Very quick and easy change. I ordered the brass one but didn't want to wait since it was on backorder. The stainless steel version I ended up with is great and it is well made. Hopefully, when they get back to full production, they will start producing their glass ones again, which are really a glass sleeve (multiple colors available) that is siliconed over a regular Jetslide..

This thing makes playing slide somehow EASY! Looks like a nice handmade piece of jewelry. I did file mine and twist the band and little finger post to fit my hand. But that's what it is made to have done to it. VERY IMPRESSED, favorite thing I've added to my guitar rig in the last year.

Not much of a slide player. Hated having to put on and take off a regular slide while playing. This makes it much easier to use when playing.

As a concept the Jet Slide performs well, but the critical flaws of the implementation make it unsuitable for performance as a primary slide. The design of the Jet Slide allows a player to more easily use their free fingers for fingering notes or muting strings. Because the Jet Slide is simply a steel bar pinched between the pinky and ring fingers it functions like a nimble, narrow gauge, ball-end slide. Its pen sized diameter allows the targeting of individual strings. This makes it a good slide for playing complicated solo lines and even cross picking against open strings. The slide is designed to lay firmly along the ring finger, but the ring finger is still free to mute the string. This frees up the index and middle fingers to mute the adjacent strings, or to finger notes above the slide for minor or 7th tones. Ultimately the Jet Slide fails in some critical areas. First of all the Jet Slide produces a lot of string noise. Because of the narrow gauge/diameter of its bar it really rasps against the low wound strings. It works great on the plain steel strings that have no winding. A larger diameter gauge would have improved the design since it would more smoothly slide along the strings. Also the end of the bar is not polished. It contains ridges left over from the milling of the steel. Whenever the tip hits or slides along a string it creates terrible string noise. (This could probably be polished out to improve the sound.) Secondly the bar fits uncomfortably between the fingers. The ring that secures bar cuts into the player's finger. The design could be improved for a more comfortable and secure fit, but the current Jet Slide implementation seems crude. In the end I would recommend trying this slide to see if it suites you. It lends itself best to players that add a bit of slide to their playing, but primarily rely on fingering their notes.
