Jackson

collapse expand iconDescription

Jackson's X Series Soloist SLX is a high-performance solidbody electric guitar built for shredding. The SLX features a comfortable poplar Soloist body and graphite-reinforced neck-through-body design for incredible sustain. Powerful Duncan Designed humbucking pickups—smooth alnico in the neck and aggressive ceramic in the bridge—provide a range of tones from creamy to biting. The 12"-16" compound radius laurel fingerboard is ideal for both chording and soloing, curving dramatically at the nut before flattening toward the bridge. A Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge offers rock-solid tuning and dynamic tremolo action. Unleash your shredding potential with the Soloist SLX.

Duncan Designed Pickups Deliver Versatile Tone

The SLX is equipped with a Duncan Designed alnico HB-103N humbucker in the neck position for a warm, rounded tone and a high-output Duncan Designed ceramic HB-103B humbucker in the bridge position for aggression and bite. A three-way blade switch lets you select the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both pickups together for a range of tones to suit any musical style.

Compound Radius Fingerboard Provides the Best of Both Worlds

The SLX's 12"-16" compound radius laurel fingerboard is uniquely suited for both chording and shredding. The fingerboard curves dramatically at the nut for comfortable, buzz-free chording before flattening out toward the bridge for low-action soloing without fretting out. Jumbo frets make bending a breeze for expressive lead playing.

Floyd Rose Tremolo Bridge Delivers Rock-Solid Stability

A Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge provides rock-solid tuning stability and dynamic tremolo action with excellent sustain. The Floyd Rose bridge locks the strings at both the bridge and the nut, preventing slippage for stable pitch during aggressive tremolo use and string bending.

Thoughtfully Designed for Playability and Tone

The SLX also features a tilt-back scarf joint headstock, dome-style knobs, sharkfin position inlays and Jackson die-cast tuning machines. A lightweight basswood body with gloss urethane finish and matching painted neck provide resonant tone with eye-catching style.

Solid guitar. Packaging was spot on, but that floater was set up like one, a floater. Completely unplayable. Thankfully we got it set up, but if you think you're going to be diving out of the box you'll be disappointed. I haven't seen a Floyd so bent out of shape right out the box. The pickups are mud but like any mass produced guitar you can't expect much. Once it's dialed in and you have the proper pick ups this guitar rips like a $2000 Jackson imo. Great potential

  • I wouldn't buy again from this distributor
