Jackson

collapse expand iconDescription

The Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX electric guitar provides serious guitarists with high-performance tone and playability. Its basswood body and maple neck deliver resonant sustain and a comfortable feel during extended practice or performance. The compound radius bound laurel fingerboard offers both easy chording near the nut and blazing leads farther up the neck.

Traditional Jackson Style with Modern Playability

The Soloist SLX DX combines Jackson's signature pointed headstock, sharkfin inlays and black hardware with contemporary features like a fast-playing 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard. Its durable finish withstands the rigors of performance while maintaining a sleek and stylish look. Overall, the SLX DX delivers the exceptional tone, feel and visual appeal that have made Jackson a premier brand among metal and hard rock guitarists worldwide.

Built for Speed and Comfort

The SLX DX's 12-16" compound radius fingerboard and slim maple neck allow rapid solos and power chords with equal ease. Its contours and lightweight body provide playing comfort through the longest sets or practice sessions. The sharkfin inlays are a classic Jackson touch, guiding your way up the fingerboard in style.

Powerful Pickups for Aggressive Tone

The Soloist SLX DX comes equipped with a pair of Jackson high-output humbuckers that provide the crunchy, full tone needed for searing leads and heavy rhythm work. A three-way blade switch lets you access the pickups individually or combine them for further tonal variations. The single volume and tone knobs shape the pickups' output, putting their formidable power at your command.

Floyd Rose Special Bridge for Extreme Stability

The Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge returns your ax to pitch-perfect tuning even after the most extreme dive bombs and string bending. Its recessed design allows unimpeded picking across the bridge. The bridge's fine tuners provide precise intonation for chords that ring true all the way up the neck.

I use it for gigs only. Fretwork was good and it plays great. My only thing was that I felt it should come with higher quality hardware. I replaced the Floyd Rose Special and the Jackson bridge pickup with a Floyd Rose 1000 and a Duncan JB. It's now a guitar that's pro level in my opinion.

Such an amazingly crafted slice of awesome. No matter your skill set youll want to picking up this amazing beast. Great pickups, neck is great for shredding, and the light weight will work for everyone. If you're a beginner the neck radius is perfect for working on cords and scales.

Guitar looks great, sounds great, and plays great. Would definitely buy it again and recommend it. I was initially concerned that it had a Floyd Rose Special because I have read some negative things about them, however I have had zero problems with it. Stays in tune even with major dive bombs. Great guitar.
