Ibanez SR370E Bass Surreal Black Dual Fade Gloss

The SR370E is a handsome 4-string bass designed for the experienced player. The bass starts with an immaculately finished Maple body. Other features include a sturdy 5-piece Maple/Jatoba SR4 neck, a Jatoba fretboard, and an Accu-cast B120 bridge for superior string vibration transfer and precise intonation. Cosmo Black hardware adds a hint of stealth.
At the heart of the SR370E’s electronics are two PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups. Their stainless pole pieces offer higher output, clarity, and fullness than any in the SR370’s class. Accessed by the 3-way “Power Tap” switch, these proprietary pickups offer a choice of three tonal personalities: A rich humbucker sound, a pure single-coil sound, or an enhanced single coil sound— fattened by lows from the humbucker pickups. Add the ability to dial in precise tone preferences via the Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ, and the SR370E is a musical chameleon.

Best Bass I own Ibanez shows the brown burst which has a matte type finish but the Sapphire Blue Burst is a easy to maintain nitro type finish that I like better and polishes up really nice 24 frets, excellent sound, looks like a work of art Unlike my F Basses, this Bass is balanced so I can gently lean the body against a ottoman without the body tipping it one way All the frets are reachable and you can bar chords to the 22nd or 23rd fret
Highly recommend this wonderful bass

I am a guitar player and this was my first own bass. So I am not a bass expert but I know good bass sounds, and this one delivers them at a rather modest price. You can get all kinds of sound with a tap switch + 3 band EQ, if not that "Fender" sounds necessarily. The maple body is pretty heavy, mine is almost 10 lbs, but the balance is great and sits on me very well both sitting and standing. I might think differently if I have to play this standing for 2 hours, but I won't do that anyway. Also the maple body may be contributing to its crisp tones with good sustain. No complaints about the fit/finish/appointments. Mine has subtle quilted maple look even though it has no veneer top, and looks like something much more expensive. Overall I am very happy with this bass. Recently I got a good fretless bass as well, but feel no desire/need to upgrade this to a more expensive fretted bass.

Just unlucky. I've played a ton of Ibanez and loved them. I REALLY wanted to love it. This one i couldn't get to stop buzzing. The return however was super easy. Elijah was great and helped me exchange it out for something else i originally wanted.
Great Bass For The Money Spent

Honestly I am truly amazed with this Bass and how much I truly like it. It feels very good in my hands, smooth fast neck, and the body is very comfortable to get around. I honestly have played on many different Basses including Schecter and Warwick and really truly surprised that this Bass felt just as good. The frets where actually finished well and didn't scuff my hands when sliding the neck like other cheaper Bass's played on and again the neck is just super smooth. It did however require a full run through and set-up. The Bass was DIRTY, I mean literally there was still fine saw dust on the neck. The fret board was pretty dirty, and the neck bolt holes and output jack hole needed all the crud cleaned out. The bridge had two loose screws on the base plate, one of the tuners was so loose that it wobbled when I first tried tuning the G string, and then neck also needed tightened including one of the screws being several screwdriver turns loose. But when I tightened the thing all up the Bass feels extremely solid now. When I lowered the action to almost flat I did start picking up buzz on the E string from the 5th fret back to 1. I loosened the truss rod back one turn of the allen wrench in the adjustment slot which added just enough relief to take the buzz out. The action is still pretty low and does really well. The strings it comes with are OK but to me they always feel spongy and sound OK but I know there are better ones and always strip strings fairly quickly. I put on a set of RotoSound Flatwound 77's and it brought the thing to life. Night and day difference in the quality of the sound and the amount of output. Highly recommend if you pick one of these up. I honestly would have rated this a 5 had it not been for the fact I basically had to finish the initial assembly. But it doesn't take but 30 minutes or so to strip it down, tighten it all up, clean it, and put the strings back on. For less than 400 bucks, nothing to be sad about.
