Ibanez RGD71ALPA 7-String Electric Guitar Charcoal Black Matte

Description
The Axion Label RGD71ALPA 7-string Electric Guitar from Ibanez, a formidable ax designed for metal players ready to explore the extended range of a 7-string. Featuring a sleek poplar burl top and layered ash body, the RGD71ALPA combines resonant tonewoods with high-output Bare Knuckle Aftermath pickups for thick, crushing tone. A fast Nitro Wizard-7 5-piece panga panga/walnut neck and 26.5" scale length allow for tight, low action and djent-approved power chords.
High-Output Pickups Deliver Massive Gain
The RGD71ALPA is armed with a pair of hand-wound Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers that provide tight, accelerated bass response and searing high-end articulation ideal for tracking staccato riffs at blinding speeds. A coil-tap switch adds single-coil-like tones for extra versatility.
Extended 26.5" Scale Handles Extreme Tunings
To optimize for the rich low end produced by down-tuned 7-string guitars, the RGD71ALPA features an extended 26.5" scale length. Longer than standard but not overly long, this scale length allows for use of heavier string gauges while maintaining comfortable playability and intonation. The slim, fast-playing Nitro Wizard-7 5-piece panga panga/walnut neck is built for shredding through rhythm sections and solos alike.
Rock-Solid Components for Roadworthy Reliability
From the innovative Ibanez Mono-Rail bridge to the Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads, the RGD71ALPA is equipped with high-performance components designed to withstand the demands of touring and maximize tuning stability and sustain. Nearly indestructible Schaller S-Locks strap lock pins keep your instrument secure on stage.
Premium Features and Appointments
A Macassar ebony fingerboard, jumbo frets, coil-tap switch and poplar burl top appointment elevate the RGD71ALPA to a premium playing experience. The Axion Label series represents the cutting edge of Ibanez design, with multi-scale necks, boutique pickups and innovative hardware. The RGD71ALPA delivers a standout modern metal tone and feel.
