I've owned this guitar for 2 years now. It's absolutely stunning and pics can't do the frozen Ice top justice. The craftsmanship is flawless. The five piece neck with the jumbo frets makes playing effortless. The only complaint I have with it is the pickups. They just sounded sterile and processed through my 20 watt marshall. I experimented constantly searching for the sound I wanted. Pedal after pedal. I just couldnt find the tone I wanted. I gave up and replaced them with the EMG hetset and this guitar found its voice! This guitar is now the Metal Monster that i was looking for! The new pickups also match the floyd rose, knobs and tuners. I'm l now loving this Axe!!
This is the best guitar I've ever played

The neck is as fast as they get, lowest action ever. The finish is amazing, and the fishman fluence pickups are just the cherry on top of the sundae. Ibanez really did it with this guitar the playability the tone it's as close to the perfect guitar as it gets to my taste obviously. Definitely worth the price you will not be disappointed.

Dang...and yes it has a 9v battery compartment in the back for the active pickups. Sustain is amazing. Even unplugged this beautiful instrument rings.

This guitar is a high quality one! You can feel that everything is precise as far as the craftsmanship. This has an extremely smooth neck. I have never used these pickups , but I like them a lot. I get some good mid-range. There are 2 things that I would say are yellow flags. Not anything bad, but something you should know if you are buying this: Setup - I had to restring and also adjust the guitar to my liking. This is not necessarily a bad thing, considering I do that with all of the guitars I buy. Weight - this is SOLID. Definitely the heaviest guitar I own. I don't know if it is because of the Ash wood, the electronics, combination of the 2, the other wood, no idea. It is a heavy guitar. I don't plan on standing for a long period of time with this one. This is not a bad thing for me, more of a surprise.
