Description
The Ibanez AZ42P1 Premium electric guitar struts adaptable personality, spanning lush, warm tones to intense, screaming leads. At its core are a pair of Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers, wired for exceptional tonal control through the dyna-MIX10 switching system. Their focused midrange and balanced output keep your original tone intact, even when pushing the saturation. An Oval C roasted maple neck brings smooth playability and serious stability. Meanwhile, the basswood body's sleek contours rest comfortably against your body. Unleash the full potential of your inspiration with the Ibanez AZ42P1 Premium.
Roasted Maple Neck Promotes Smooth Playability
This AZ42P1 Premium's Oval C roasted maple neck provides a comfortably rounded profile for hours of fatigue-free playing. The roasting treatment enhances the wood's stability and water resistance, while also bolstering its resilience to temperature changes. Combined with its smooth satin finish, you'll enjoy excellent playability. Jumbo stainless steel frets allow for easy and accurate fingering along the rosewood fingerboard. The heel-less neck joint lets your fingers fly all the way up to the 24th fret.
Shape Your Sound With Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups
The Ibanez AZ Premium wields a pair of Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers, ready to convey the full range of your creative vision. Their Alnico 5 magnets provide focused mids and a balanced output, preserving the clarity and articulation of your fundamental tone, even through screaming distortion. From rich lows to singing highs, the overall tonal balance plays nice with pedals. The bridge pickup serves up plenty of bite for aggressive riffing, while the neck pickup unearths warm, round tones perfect for bluesy soloing. With this combination, the AZ Premium is primed for versatility.
Unleash New Tones With the dyna-MIX10 Switching System
At the epicenter of the AZ42P1 Premium's adaptability is the dyna-MIX10 switching system. Alongside the 5-way pickup selector, it unlocks 10 distinct voices to sculpt the perfect tone for any style or technique. Power Tap mode uses coil splitting to emulate snappy, articulate single coils. Toggle between standard humbucking tones and bright, funky split coils. With the dedicated Alter switch, you can go from searing leads to woman tones at the flick of a switch. The dyna-MIX10 hands you the keys to shape your sound on the fly.
Gotoh Hardware Anchors Rock-Solid Tuning and Tremolo Response
The robust Gotoh hardware completes the AZ42P1 Premium's impressive appointments. The MG-T locking machine heads achieve incredible tuning stability, while the T1502 tremolo bridge serves up fantastic dynamic expression. Its steel saddles and die-cast zinc block equip the bridge for intense tremolo techniques. The 10.5 mm string spacing allows effortless picking motions. Together with the comfortable basswood body, the AZ42P1 Premium melds playing comfort and unbridled inspiration.

Great guitar, poor service

I'm an ex-pro guitarist, haven't played live in years and now just record at home with over 40 years of playing and struggling lol. I'm also a life long Ibanez guy and have owned everything from the lawsuit Les Paul copies, the 80s roadstars, late 80s RGs, etc. this guitar, (although it brings to mind the Suhr moderns) is completely new for Ibanez and it's incredible in every facet. Including hardware, electronics and fretwork. Worth every penny.
