Versatile Tone From Premium Wood Combination

With its maple neck, jatoba fingerboard and poplar body, the Ibanez AZ Essentials guitar delivers versatile tone. The maple neck provides bright, focused tone with ample note definition. The jatoba fingerboard produces a rich midrange with crisp treble tones. The poplar body offers incredible thickness and a well-balanced frequency response. Together, this premium wood combination gives you adaptable tone to play any style of music.

Smooth Playability Designed for Beginners

Several smart design choices make the AZ Essentials guitar easy and comfortable to play. Its 25" scale length is perfect for smaller hands. The 250mm fingerboard radius strikes an ideal balance between flat and round for learning correct technique. The All Access neck joint provides effortless access to higher frets for soloing. Medium frets enhance note accuracy without being sharp. With its beginner-friendly dimensions and contours, you'll find this Ibanez plays smooth and fast.

Expanded Tonal Options With dyna-MIX8 Switching

The AZ Essentials guitar equips you with exceptional tonal flexibility thanks to its dyna-MIX8 switching system. It offers eight distinct sounds, from sparkling single-coil tones to thick, growling humbucker sounds. With the flick of a switch, you can go from shimmering clean tones to raunchy overdrive. The system even simulates humbucking tone from single coils. This smart switching matrix provides incredible variety to craft your personalized sound.

Play Longer With Innovative Hardware

Some special appointments enhance this Ibanez's durability and playing comfort. The Mono-unit output jack's solid construction prevents your instrument cable from pulling out of the guitar. Comfort bridge saddles allow easy height adjustments and prevent buzz. Together with the versatile tone and smooth playability, these hardware innovations let you play longer without interruptions or discomfort.

The guitar is great for beginners, having all the features a starting player needs to learn. I did experience some fret buzz on the 3 fret of the low e string, and when I got it I had to set it up as the action was too high. Otherwise, good guitar. The pickups were a bit bland though.

Happened to take it off the wall. Showed it to the guitar tech who did a quick check of everything. And I bought it immediately. Not only is it great to play, but it's really well made from Indonesia which appears to now make very high quality instruments. The price is surprising low, as well. This guitar is simply a wonderful guitar for anyone, beginner to pro.

  • This guitar is a great deal.

This is a great guitar not just for beginners but for seasoned players like myself. It gives you all the great strat sounds and more. Stock pickups are pretty good. Guitar is well set up and plays like a dream. Neck and fretboard are flawless. I also really like the imput jack as it is all one piece. Ibanez struck gold with this one.

  • So extremely surprised and satisfied with this guitar
