IK Multimedia iKlip 3 iPad Music Stand Adapter

Description
The IK Multimedia iKlip 3 is the latest generation of the brand's renowned iPad mic stand adapter. Completely redesigned from the ground up, the iKlip 3 is crafted from durable yet lightweight thermoplastic and rubber materials to create an iPad mount that is adjustable, portable and built to last through years of gigs and studio sessions. The iKlip 3 fits tablets from 7" to 12.1", with or without a protective case, and its adjustable clip and ball-and-socket joint provide 360 degrees of positioning in both landscape and portrait mode so you can place your iPad at the perfect viewing angle.
Rugged Yet Portable Design
The iKlip 3 features an all-new clip and mounting bracket constructed of high-impact thermoplastic and rubber, providing maximum durability and protection for your iPad without adding bulk. The redesigned clip expands to hold tablets from 7" to 12.1", fitting most major brands with or without a case, and the rubber grips are generously sized to securely hold your iPad in place without marring the finish. Once attached, the iKlip 3's mounting bracket locks into position on any mic stand up to 1.2" in diameter with a few simple twists. For transport between gigs, the iKlip 3 folds up compactly, and all parts fit together so nothing gets lost between uses.
Limitless Positioning Options
The iKlip 3's ball-and-socket joint and 360-degree rotating bracket provide the widest range of positioning options for your iPad. Easily adjust between landscape and portrait orientation, and find the perfect viewing angle for your needs. The iKlip 3 attaches to any part of a mic stand—top, middle or bottom—so you can place your iPad at the exact height required. Unlike other top-mounting iPad stands, the iKlip 3 gives you total control over positioning so you can dial in your setup quickly before performances.

Not enough grip
I love this iPad holder. I own 5 of them . I use them to hold my iPad and my small 7 ch mixer on my mic stand. Only problem is that they don't grip the iPad as well as it should. Not sure if maybe the spring action isn't hard enough or the plastic is too slippery but I fix it with a small piece of self stick rubber insulation on each grip. Other than that the Iklip has given me years of great use.

Doesn't do what it says it does
I have an iPad 7 which is a 10.2 inch screen. Made a 30 minute drive to guitar center so I could physically look at the options available. This one came recommended by the sales staff. Read the box. It clearly says works without removing the case. I mounted onto my mic stand, put my iPad in the holder, and it fell out the first time I touched it. Fortunately it was not very high off the ground. Double check to make sure I was putting it in properly, and I am. With my OtterBox case on my iPad, the clip is not wide enough to grab hold of the iPad securely. Poor design! Just a few more millimeters on the holder would make all the difference. Probably would work without my OtterBox case, but who has time to takeoff the case every time you need to mount the iPad?

Sadly this is a total fail and a waste of $. It will not hold the iPad in any position other than falling downward on an angle away from you. Everything was tightened up, it's useless.

I attach this to my mic-stand and the shows on. Easy to assemble and appears to be durable.

Not loving this item and pretty disappointed that I paid as much as I did. I just don't trust that it will hold my tablet securely. I'll be returning this item.
Not great. Limited angles for display.

Only works for specific angles, not enough rotation. if attached to the boom, the screen is practically facing the floor. if you try to adjust the screen angle, the ball pops out of the grip. Plastic feels shoddy. I liked the red piece that holds the device, but the available positioning is VERY limited.
