This is going to take some getting use to.

I have been playing a Harmonica for a few years and thought I would give this a try. I have been playing the progressive 20's and liked them until recently. The last two I purchased needed work on the reeds out of the box. The same thing with this. One reed was not correct and the note from it was horribly off. All the others were spot on. The tuning on this has changed the way I play, and I find myself coming up with more melodies than the bluesy style ruffs I normally play. As it has been only a short time of sampling it, I would say this is best for someone who plays guitar and wants to incorporate the Harmonica in their songs. It's very close to the 20 in size and feel and would be a good start to a newbie player.

Barely Acceptable

Cheap Materials. Tone is quite tinny compared to a Special 20. Not sure they live up to the "Progessive" brand and price level. Nice to have a Pentatonic Harp in my collection finally just wish it had richer tones. I would recommend staying with Diatonic Special 20's over this harp.

    I purchased my first Pentaharp today in the key of A minor and I've been having blast with this thing! Always had trouble sounding good on a Richter tuned harmonica but playing the pentatonic scale is a breeze! Don't hesitate - just get one and you won't be disappointed!

    I like ripping out some blue riffs with this PentaHarp! I started using some examples I found online, but then started creating a few of my own. It's different than a "normal" harmonica for sure, but it is good fun in its own way.

    I have been an avid harp player since 1964! I have a mess of Lee Oskar's harps, which are pretty good IMHO! I am going to venture out and purchase a PH, I am not a rich man, SO, I was wondering, YES I am into blues, WHICH of these if me would you purchase first? TIA!

    I would start with a really common key and see if you like it from there. These are really popular harmonicas,, but some players don't enjoy the feel of them. I personally find them really comfortable and easy to play.

    I was wondering if the tunings are similar to the diatonic harps as far as pitch. Would the low F be the lowest and ascending upward from there? I have an EmN that starts an octave lower than my E Major, so I'm a bit confused. I'm interested in Em, Am, and Bm tunings, and I want the lowest of these three to try it out.
