Hercules DJ DJ Console Rmx Controller

Description
The Hercules DJ Console Rmx controller ensures precision and speed in all your moves, thanks to 2 ultra-precise jog wheels for moving within tracks and for scratching, 12 rotary switches, 46 push-buttons, 6 faders - including pitch faders with a center detent - plus an innovative and convenient general volume fader. The roomy layout of the controls allows DJs to perfect fumble-free mixes. DJs will find their marks quickly, allowing them to focus their full attention and ability to the music and the dance floor.
As an expert in the design of audio interfaces, Hercules determined that the integration of an audio interface featuring 4 inputs and 4 outputs on the Hercules DJ Console Rmx was both obvious and essential. The interface grants access to unique features such as 4 audio outputs offering maximum sound over 4 mono 1/4" inch jack outputs which output +4dBu for PA equipment, audio output levels at -10dBv over 4 RCA outputs for connecting consumer devices (hi-fi systems, recording devices etc.), and simple integration to your other equipment by means of 2 stereo analog inputs enabling you to mix, via the included DJ software, external sources with digital music. The mixing console also features a phono/line-level selector on each input, ideal for connecting turntables, CD or MP3 players, and rhythm boxes. Microphone (with talk-over feature) and headset (for preview feature) connectors are accessible on the Rmx's upper face and front face, enabling DJs to use the console with inimitable convenience, whether in a flight case, on a DJ stand, or on a tabletop.
As mentioned above, the DJ Console Rmx Controller comes with DJ software, VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition that works with both PCs and Macs. VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition instantly connects to the console and includes features and settings specific to the Hercules DJ Console Rmx, combining the power of the VirtualDJ mixing engine with the ergonomics of the console. The Hercules DJ Console Rmx is also a MIDI controller and therefore compatible with other MIDI-controlled software applications.

Hercules on Steroids
I have to say that so far I have not had that many problems with this product so far. The only thing that it laks is the control of all the effect from my VIRTUAL DJ software. It works just great and fine with Vista and XP. I had tried the other products like the Numark Total Control which I have to say 85% of the time did not work at all with both microsoft products. I recomend to you the startin digital dj or experienced dj to Give Hercules Dj Console Rmx a whirl you will be satisfied and the price is just right. The pitch and whell work perfectly when it comes to scratching and tempo mixing.

Eh, didnt cut it for me.
Alright so I am new to Djing, only been doing so for about 3-4 months nowand I love it. Although this pretty much was my first controller, I enjoyed it first starting off just because I saw all the good reviews and thought it was the nicest cheapest controller out there. Well I bought this about a month ago, when it was still $300. Thought that it was a little spendy for how small it was, limited with no fx knobs and things like that pretty much the basic concept feel when Djing and using a good controller, and only came with vdj LE. Which has like 10 effects total which only like 1-2 of them are even worthy of using. Its good for a very first controller, although Idk for sure but I'd say going with a numark or something around 200-300 would be more of a Dj feel rather than a little silver box. Like I said its good to start out with to learning the basics mixing, now that its only $180. Id say its a much better deal considering they dropped the price over $100. I returned this when I saw the NI Kontrol S2 on sale for $400. Paid the extra $100 for a controller 10x better. I would only recommend the RMX for a very first controller, and then return it and get a new one when you get a little more money. The limited knobs, super hard plastic effect buttons and stuff, the jog wheels are tiny which isnt a big bother for me since I dont scratch, but still didnt like them. Also the knobs dont have lines above them or a middle set spot when moving the knobs back and forth, just didnt meet my standards I guess...

Fantastic Controller with unlimited potential

Great controller for on the fly beat matching and mixing. Smaller jogwheels provide the ability to scratch... but not as efficiently as the NS6. Then again, for the $$$ this controller is awesome. Plan to take a long time mapping out your keys. There is a default mapping, but no where near the level you'll want to be at. Program ANY key as a SHIFT and to produce any function available. Using currently with VD7pro

The RMX has thoroughly impressed me in the two months I've owned one. Mapped it out for Traktor Pro 2, and BAM- All of a sudden you've got a controller designed for 2 tracks pumping out 4! If you're looking for "buttons on a budget," then this mixer is one hundred percent for you.

My company previously misrated this product. I love the RMX Console it is small and compact but has enough power to really get the crowd going. The demo version of VDJ is unimpressive and tends to freeze up on Windows 7. Luckily I purchased the full version and I havent had a problem since. With all the samples, downloadable effects, and the online music search engines built in I am very impressed. I use this constantly and it is built tough with solid metal construction and sturdy buttons and knobs there is no reason not to purchase this.

I replaced my Hercules MP3 e2 (A very good little controller) with the RMX because the RMX has a built in soundcard. I've already had my first gig with it and I have to say that so far I've been impressed with the ease of use and with the quality of the sound. It also freed up enough resources from my computer so that I can now play video without pushing it to the max. My only hung up was the headphone jack sound. Not very goo at all. But I run this unit through a secondary mixer anyhow so no biggie for me. My favorite feature so far has been the programmable buttons. I have them setup for hot cue, loop in/out and fx. They offer tremendous flexibility. Since I am using a second mixer, I have also programmed the crossfader to be used only for video. I purchased the product used at a big discount, but I feel that, even at new price. This product is a great choice for laptop djs. You can't really scratch with the thing cause there is a bit of a pause when you release the wheel. It does a fantastic job mixing and there is no delay on any of the other features.
Great Controller

I have had this unit for about 9 months now and i must say that it's quite a hoss! this thing is built solid as a rock! not to mention it weighs a ton, but build wise, thats the only downside. another down side is how stiff feeling the buttons feel. The led lights in them are pretty cool too, but their could be more. On the plus side, all of the knobs and slides are super smooth and fairly accurate. It works great with the virtual dj le program that comes bundled with it. I use mine to control traktor pro along with an x1 for my cue points and effects and they work seamlessly with each other. All in all, it's the best controller for the price.
