Description

Great Stupid Deal of the Day value

Bought this as a Stupid Deal of the Day. I've been watching for a low priced powered speaker pair for performances and the price was VERY good on these. I checked the reviews which were pretty darn good, so I sprang for a pair. Haven't used them much yet, but very pleased so far. A little loud in the mid range for my tastes but the on-board EQ helps a lot. Not sure how well they would hold up for lots of road use but I don't need that. Also, these have plenty of volume for my more "unplugged" genres, but may be a little short if you want to rattle the walls. Fit my needs very nicely.

I would never buy this product again!

It looked like a great system for small gigs, easy to setup as a complete working sound system. The powered speakers came with an independent "3 channel mixer" on each speaker, that had me imagining I could just plug mics/instruments directly into the speakers as was the theory. Unfortunately, the first system I got had issues where the #2 input didn't work on either speaker. I could still use the speakers with the mixer and they sounded great but that's not what I was promised and I'm not one to be satisfied spending money on defective equipment. So I called my MF rep and he arranged to replace the defective system. I was told to expediate getting the system to me, as I am a working musician with regular gigs that I need a sound system for, I was told if I paid for the second system I would be refunded that money as soon as MF received the defective system back. So I did as instructed and was billed for a second sound system. No problem right? WRONG! The second system came and when I went to test the new speakers... nothing! No sound at all! I never even unpacked the other speaker or the rest of the gear! Now I'm stuck with 2 defective sound systems (that I've paid for) and with a gig tomorrow I will be using my old system and spending my day trying to arrange to send 2 faulty sound systems back to MF. This is not the 1st time I've gotten defective gear from MF but it may be the last.

    I use the speaker for listening to music in loud environments. I use the speaker as a guitar amplifier. I use the speaker as a portable, powerful PA system

    The firs order I made was a bad speaker. The new one they sent me appears to work fine, but I am still working on getting it to work with the Harbinger board we plug it in to. So I am a bit skeptical.
