Harbinger VARI 4400 Powered Speakers

Harbinger VARI 4400 App

Description
The Harbinger VARI Live V4412 powered speaker simplifies the complex demands of live performance audio, equipping DJs, bands and solo artists with immersive, room-filling sound, window-rattling volume and digital mixing in a gig-ready package. This thoughtfully designed portable PA or main speaker packs a powerful 12" driver, comprehensive I/O, onboard effects and mixing tools, and streamlined usability that intuitively brings it all together in virtually any live sound scenario. Carefully crafted for trouble-free transport and seamless setup, this ultrareliable loudspeaker also sports a rugged enclosure to roll with the proverbial punches of unpredictable live environments, handling the hazards of gigging like a true workhorse. Take your shows to the next level using the Harbinger VARI Live V4412—a professional solution for all-in-one live sound.

Precision-Engineered Components Offer 130dB of “PEEK” Performance
Top-tier sonic delivery is the heart and soul of this powered speaker, made possible by three specially engineered core components. A polyetheretherketone (PEEK) tweeter lends itself to incredibly detailed, ethereal top end, adding sheen to any amplified source. Midrange articulation is managed by the gas-assisted, injection-molded cabinet, which enhances essential frequencies for intelligibility in vocals and full-bodied prominence in instruments like acoustic guitar. The enclosure simultaneously maximizes dispersion to bathe every corner of the room in sound. At the other end of the sonic spectrum, chest-thumping bass and rock-solid low mids come courtesy of a powerful 12" XR woofer. Between superior drivers and considered construction, this Harbinger VARI Series portable PA can produce up to 130dB SPL of smooth, high-fidelity sound without breaking a sweat.

Mix Wirelessly With the Dedicated VARI Series App
Download the free VARI Series app to your phone or tablet, and take top-to-bottom wireless control of your mixes. Every essential function—including input level, panning, compression, EQ, chorus, reverb and master volume—is conveniently adjustable from your device. Perhaps most importantly, the VARI Series app gives you the ability to fine-tune the V4412 portable PA from the audience’s perspective, so you can hear exactly how your system translates to the room and make informed decisions accordingly. Mixing on the fly has never been easier—simply pull out your phone and ring out a harsh frequency, introduce some reverberant vibe to a dry vocal or turn up the master volume and really get the show going.

DSP-Driven EQ and 10 Voicing Presets
No matter your gigging needs, the V4412 has a dedicated sound configuration to help you get started. Choose from six stock voicings, including the accurate, full-frequency Standard mode; enhanced-bass Club mode; a Live Band setting tailored to high-volume performance; Speech to accentuate vocal frequencies without rumble and susceptibility to feedback; AcoGtr&Vox for the average singer-songwriter arrangement; and FloorMontr, which is optimized for use as a stage monitoring wedge. You can also customize and store your own personal favorite settings as one of up to four recallable scenes, for a total of 10. The app and built-in LCD both show the frequency response in real time as you tweak, so you can visualize your adjustments as you listen to them.

Five Inputs Support Multi-Faceted Performance
With a pair of XLR/TS combo jacks, a Bluetooth audio input, stereo line inputs and an 1/8" auxiliary connection, this unit is a perfect powered speaker for singer-songwriters, public speakers, electronic artists, performing duos and more. All five inputs can be utilized and mixed at the same time—plug in a vocal mic and guitar or keyboard, hook up a DJ controller, conveniently stream tracks over Bluetooth and hardwire a laptop or another device to the AUX. There’s even an integrated USB charging port to keep your phone or tablet topped off throughout a performance. Whether you use the Harbinger VARI Live V4412 primarily as a polemounted or free-standing main speaker, run it as a personal monitoring wedge in a larger sound system or employ it interchangeably based on the gig, its flexible connections easily have most situations covered.

Conveniently Pair Two Speakers Via Bluetooth
It’s incredibly simple to link two Harbinger VARI speakers for wide stereo coverage. The cable-free method lets you connect two V4412s using Bluetooth, specifically during instances where Bluetooth audio is your only input source. Stream your favorite party playlist from your phone, laptop or tablet to the first Harbinger speaker, then wirelessly pair a second to amp up the volume and power.

Smart Stereo Links Two Speakers for Live Performance
When you’re using the full panel of inputs to connect microphones, instruments and more, Smart Stereo provides an easy link between two speakers with a single XLR cable. The unit handling your input array acts as the primary source, from which you can run a Link Out cable to the Link In of another. So, whether it’s Bluetooth for backyard parties or Smart Stereo for formal performances, Harbinger VARI Live V4412 loudspeakers work seamlessly in pairs.

Enter the VARI Live Ecosystem
As your performance needs grow, the V4412 easily integrates with VARI Series VS12 or VS18 subwoofers for extended low-end response. Adjustable crossover settings let you determine the optimal bass management between the main speaker(s) and sub. You can even time-align them with delay to ensure tight, coherent audio across the entire system. With optimized expandability as a key feature, the Harbinger VARI Live V4412 is equally at home as a standalone portable PA/main speaker or part of a larger live sound reinforcement ecosystem. VARI Live’s superior scalability lets you combine V2408 or V2410 with the V4412 for smaller gigs, as well as V3412 or V3415 speakers for medium to large venues.
With its cutting-edge components, powerful DSP and unrivaled flexibility, the Harbinger VARI Live V4412 empowers you to bring your A game to every gig. Confidently take your show on the road with a system that’ll help you sound your absolute best, day in and night out. I use this speaker for personal use and entertaining family and friends. Great for dj setups, karaoke, or just listening to music off of Bluetooth devices. The app is also a great tool that allows me to tune it on the fly.

I got myself a pair of the 12's, and they're awesome! The first thing I noticed was how sleek and sturdy the design is. They were super easy to set up right out of the box, and the sound has been really crisp! For a PA system, you're definitely getting a lot of bang for your buck. The back panel has inputs and outputs for both basic and more advanced setups, so it works for everyone. The smart stereo feature is perfect if you're doing small to medium gigs or rehearsals and need a quick, hassle-free PA system. It also works great for playing music from your phone at a party. There's an app that's really user-friendly, letting you control the onboard EQ and effects while walking around the venue to make adjustments, and the Bluetooth feature is perfect for streaming tunes straight from your phone or tablet! These speakers are also an awesome alternative to an FRFR! They're great for guitarists who like to run amp models and IRs—definitely worth a look! Even though it's not technically an FRFR, most powered speakers can get the job done, and this one really shines—especially at this price point. I tried it out with my Helix and some Tone Junkie IRs and was pleasantly surprised with the tone and presence.

The Harbinger VARI V4415 is an excellent option for those in need of powerful, reliable sound on a budget. The speaker is capable of delivering impressive volume, making it perfect for live performances, DJ setups, and larger venues. Its clarity and overall sound quality are solid, but we at 2DudesAudio strongly recommend pairing the VARI V4415 with a subwoofer to fully enhance the bass and create a more immersive sound experience. When used in this setup, it delivers a well-rounded performance. At its price point, we think these speakers are a great value, and we highly suggest them for anyone seeking affordable yet capable audio equipment. Whether you're just starting out or adding to an existing setup, the VARI V4415 won't disappoint.
Awesome Monitors

I'm a guitarist and vocalist using these as floor monitors for rehearsals and gigs. Out of the box, they're easy to set up and connect and easy to adjust gain and volume. I have 2 and I connected via "Link Out" to Mic Input on the 2nd monitor, which works great although I think it might be smarter to go "Link In" but I haven't figured out precisely how to do that yet. Out of the box the EQ needed to be adjusted to work well as monitors for my voice, but that's really no surprise. There are custom voicings for doing this and I was able to use the "Live Band" EQ setting and alter it just a bit, dropping the highs down -3 which gave me more of what I wanted and good audibility of the mids. There's also a monitor voicing, which I haven't tried yet because I got the sound I needed with the other settings. These speakers are a few inches smaller in footprint than my previous powered monitors, which I appreciate. They're also about 15lbs lighter than my previous monitors. The tilt angle when used as floor monitors is good and they don't push me back too far to be in direct line of sight with the drivers. I need to be honest about myself and disclose that I'm a bit tech-resistant. These speakers are probably way, way more functional and flexible than how I'm using them now, but for now they're simply powerful, clean, good sounding monitors. Great value here and I'm excited to take these to a gig and see how they do in that context too.
