I also own an OM-150CE which I love, and the D-140 projects a warm tone that is complementary. Guild guitars have this beautiful balanced resonant tone that I have loved since I bought my first one many years ago. The imported versions may not have the same projection as the American made Guilds, but they still have the unique tone that you won't find in any other guitar. They are well built and a good value.

This guitar blew me away with the sound it puts out. It looks and sounds like a more expensive guitar. I tried some Taylors and Martins and this guitar has such a better sound. All solid guitar. I did receive my guitar with a minor blemish and buzzing strings. I think a minor adjustment is all that's needed to fix that. #sweepstakes

All solid body, bone saddle and nut, rosewood bridge, and very nice gig bag. Love the sound that comes from this one, and the antique burst looks amazing. Surprisingly light, in a good way. Best bang for your buck at this price range hands down. Stock setup was also nice and fast.

I bought the Guild D-140 in the Antique Burst and it looks great. It's light but also feels solid. After visiting the store and trying out multiple dreadnoughts of multiple brands, I liked playing this one the most. If I lost it, I'd buy it again

I play guitar at home and at church (retired from the rock scene years ago). Mostly alternative rock and folk (picking and strumming). Was looking for a dreadnaught to compliment a Taylor 314 that I just bought. Went into the local GC store and played some Martin's, Gibson's and Guild's. I was drawn to the D140 (and even the A-20 Marley) due to the loud booming volume that came from the guitar. The volume and bass (and some highs) well exceeded some Martin and Taylor's that were up to 2x the price. Very happy with this purchase. Don't think I need a set up out of the box. Guitar came without pickguard, so I may also add one it time if I want the look. Generally, I don't like gig bags (prefer cases), but this gig bag is pretty cool looking and I will keep it with the guitar. Likely will put a K&K pickup in it at some point due to Guild not making these with electronics.
