This is a great guitar at a wonderful price. Action may need a little adjustment but all in all I am very pleased. I wanted this one to "knock around" with down here in the Florida humidity.

I am a level above begineer. I bought this online/website. My 1st reaction was wow, this is a great looking g-tar. The Fingering, fretboard, and play is outstanding. As a matter of fact I made my 1st G tar video with this gretsch Penguin. I highly recommend this g-tar. It's little and the electronic sound is awesome! It even has a built in tuner!
Love it

I was looking for a smaller, easy to play guitar. When I saw this one, I was impressed with the bold style. When I received this guitar, I was amazed with how beautiful it is in person. I could not find a blemish or scratch on this guitar. The guitar comes with 12 gauge strings installed. Usually I quickly replace the strings at first on a new guitar, but I left these on and they are warming up nicely. This guitar sounds best finger picked, or lightly strummed. When plugged into my audio interface, I was blown away with how great it sounds. I will use this guitar for recording purposes as well. One of the other reviews I read mentioned that when playing a flashy guitar like this, the player has to live up to the hype. I never imagined playing a guitar that has glitter on it, but the play ability of this guitar makes this hype a reality.
In love with this little girl

I use it for live concerts... sounds great, looks great, well constructed. Gretsch made a piece of art with this guitar with a nice balance between quality materials and a cheap/affordable final product.

Wow, so I like my Martin and other higher end guitars, but this is a pleasure to play. It is a fun size and the white and gold Gretsch treatments creates a stunning look. I've only used it for practice with my band so far, but have every intention of bringing this out the next gig. Guitar making technology has clearly brought lower priced guitars into a new level of sophistication. That is all before I plugged it in. The Fishman pickup and the parlor size box are dynamite. Lots of sparkle (maybe a bit much at times) and tons of low end. I'm glad I hit the buy button on this little fun guitar.

Have been looking at your Gretsch G5021WPE since it came out, and waiting for a good sale or offer, but to no avail. Let me know if you ever come up with something you think I would be interested in for the metallic blue model. Have done a lot of bus iness with you in the past, and am very pleased with the results. Thanks for all your help, and I plan to continue dealing with you folks!

What size case should it get?
The Ibanez GA50C Hardshell Case for Classical/Parlor Guitars would work well and be a good choice. Otherwise, we also have gig bags that would work.submitted5 years ago
