Graph Tech TUSQ Fully Compensated Saddle 1/8" Ivory

Description
TUSQ saddles are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body, and have been proven to increase a guitar's harmonic sustain. Acoustic guitars come alive with delicate highs and big open lows!
TUSQ is far superior in sound and appearance to synthetics such as Micarta and Corian. The high levels of heat and pressure used in making TUSQ results in its exotic ivory-like appearance.
Join those who know great guitar tone! TUSQ is used by: Martin, Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more.
TUSQ has quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world. TUSQ saddles have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials.
Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.

I purchased this saddle to replace a cracked graphite saddle that I had in my Grandpa's Conn Acoustic. The action was super high, but I was able to lower it safely by sanding down the saddle. The man-made material is unbelievably hard. I started sanding slowly to make sure I wasn't taking too much off at a time, but it was hard enough to be aggressive with. It completely changed the sound of the guitar. It sounded muffled and dead before, but now it sounds crystal clear. I'm going to replace the nut and bridge pins with TUSQ now.

Good fit
Replaced missing saddle. I had to sand it down to how it originally look on my ibanez acoustic guitar. Besides that it's a good quality saddle.

I have a Slip home DR-100 which I bought online from here recently. The stock action on it was very high so, I had to do something about the plastic saddle on it. I have bought Graph Tech products in the past and have never been disappointed until I bought this. Turns out that it will not fit on my guitar,so I had to go buy something else instead. My only gripe is that these saddles should specify what brand guitar is sed with this.

Fit my guitar just as the original. Lowered my action by sanding down this bridge. I didn't want to mess the original up and not have a replacement to go back to in case I lowered it too much.
Great bridge

Does this saddle fit a yamaha fsx800c?
I’m sorry, I don’t know. In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar. This type of work in not normally a "drop-in" replacement.submitted4 years ago
