Graph Tech String Saver Originals Strat & Tele 2-1/16" Spacing

Description
How do they work? A string resting on a metal saddle binds and locks the string in place. As the string vibrates, it stresses the string on a very specific point producing metal fatigue and then string breakage. Each String Saver saddle is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction the difference is dramatic. Strings that last and last, no matter how hard you play...we guarantee it!
What do they sound like? Metal saddles have a pronounced 2 KHz treble spike that dominates the tonal spectrum. String Saver Originals have a more balanced tone, with highs, mids and big open lows. You will also notice an increase in sustain by up to 25% over brass saddles and 15% over steel.
* Reduces string breakage

String Saver Originals are made entirely of our String Saver material.

Set screws are below the surface, and the plastic feels smoother on your hand when palm muting than the pointy edged bent pot metal saddles that came with this guitar. Whether or not the "Tusq" material actually sounds better than metal is subjective. I'd say it reduces the treble so it sounds smoother or maybe warmer, if that's the right word. Let me put it this way: Now, instead of a chord sounding like "CHANG!" it sounds more like "BROMM" The width is perfect for Made in Mexico Fender strat or Indonesian Squier bullet strat (tried it on both) It comes with both regular length intonation screws and longer ones, but for my six-screw bridges, the long ones are useless, as the saddle would be riding up one of the 6 tremolo pivot screws, and the screw would cover the hole where the string comes up thru the bridge plate from underneath. I didn't like that the slots on the intonation screw heads are phillips #1, vs Fender's phillips #2. Bigger screw head slots just feel comfy and precise to me when working with them, though there isn't enough tension on these screws to cause head stripping or burring and there's no functional difference. The threads are different than the stock Fenders, so you can't just sub those screws in. As for the claim on the back of the packaging that your strings will last for twice as many plucks with Tusq saddles, I never break strings so I can't comment on that. I also don't care for the color... since I installed these black saddles on a red guitar with white pickguard, it makes me look like a sports fan (Blazers, Bulls, Falcons, etc). The bridge plate is chrome, so these stand out. On a black bridge plate (or next to a black pickguard) they'd look pretty nice, I'm sure.

I wouldn't recommend them at retail cost.
For the price point I'd get Highwood or Fender saddles. But for just the high E it's cool I guess.

I installed these saddles onto my Made in Mexico Fender Player Stratocaster and it made my guitar feel a lot better to play and helped me lower the action just a little more than the stock saddles did. Worth it for the price it comes with. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get rid of the stock saddles on their strats or teles. You won't regret it!

I use these saddles on my Fender and Jackson guitars. High quality and easy to install. With these string savers, there is no worry about string breakage at the saddle, perfectly smooth and friction free.

The saddles are a great value for the improvement they do to the guitar. One little replacement part makes a huge different in playing, sustain and tuning stability. Using the whammy bar with these saddles smooth and flawless. Even on a hardtail, these saddles are very reliable and consistent.
Great, will get again

Love the sustain and harmonic content out of the strings after using these. The saddles screws don't pertrude and dig into your hand like other ones. These are similar to the block saddles, but better in my opinion. Any guitar that has bent steel saddles should be replaced with these, will not regret.
Phenomenal, have bought multiple times

Graphtech makes outstanding products. These string saver saddles intonate perfectly & are very comfortable to rest your hand on (while palm mutting or volume swells etc). They are very simple to install & huge improvement over the stock saddles. I have used these multiple Fender Mexican & Chinese made models. Almost every Fender I own has these on, and recommend to all. Trust me, once you them on one of your guitars - you'll want to put them on all of your guitars. Rock on!

1. Will this fit the 2020 Fender Deluxe Stratocaster with a 2-point tremolo bridge with the bent saddles ?
I’m sorry, I don’t know. In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar,
