Godin xtSA Electric Guitar Light Burst

Description
Turn down the electric output and raise the volume on the RMC transducer saddles and the xtSA sounds like an authentic acoustic guitar. The acoustic voice of the xtSA is enhanced by an onboard preamp with a three-way graphic EQ. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs.
The icing on the xtSA cake comes in the form of its synth tracking. As with all Godin synth-ready instruments, a built-in 13-pin connector provides direct access to all Roland GR-Series synths as well as most other 13-pin devices.
All of this sound power would be a lot less interesting if the guitar didn't feel great. Thanks to the same 25" scale mahogany neck used on the Godin flagship LGX-SA guitar, this is a very comfortable guitar to play. The ebony fingerboard is shaped with Godin's ergocut technique and equipped with medium jumbo frets. The body is made from a silverleaf maple center with poplar wings and decorated with a figured maple veneer on top.
The Natural Koa Godin xtSA guitar has a highly figured koa top. Light Burst and Transparent Black Godin xtSA guitars have a flamed top.
Includes a gig bag.

I absolutely love this guitar. I bought this guitar 2 years ago and have loved ever since. I wanted a guitar that sounded amazing as well as looked amazing. Apparently Godin must have made this guitar just for me because I am in love with it. Godin is a brand that you really don't hear much about. When I first saw it I hesitated because I was really looking for A big name like fender or Ibanez. This guitar is just as good or better than either one of those big name guitars. The number of pickups gives you a huge variety of sounds. The acoustic setting sounds just like an acoustic. The only problem that I have noticed is that the input for the patch cable sometimes comes loose, but that is an easy fix. I guarantee that if you buy this guitar, you will absolutely love it.

Great craftsmanship built it didn't work
Godin xtsa has professional craftsmanship , features like a super comfortable satin neck and flat fretboard. Mine didn't work on the midi and acoustic modes. The fifth string midi pickup was dead so the string had no sound . On the electric mode the pickups were decent, made a little noise when changing the pickup selector switch. I really needed that type of guitar but had to return it and got my money back. I bought a Godin electric guitar case that was very well made. I returned it too. I will never know if it was a quality control issue by Godin or by GC. However it was I miss having a midi guitar like this.

Patient!! You best be patient when you're programming the synth - do it with the laptop app for best results. There are amazing pre done patches like THE RAIN SONG tuning is in there, and you can program this baby to fade in a string/mellotron patch with the foot pedal. And synths and brass, and percussion, and woodwinds. Okay I'm really talking about the ROLAND GR-55 Guitar Synth, which this guitar pairs up with perfectly. You can even go in and set what kind of piezo saddles you use as well as scale length for optimal response and playability. But like I said, you better be patient. Not for your typical Millenialls or X-gens!!! This baby pays off when you exert patience. Love it. I'm saving up to get a 2nd XTSA for backup.
Awesome multi-purpose electric guitar

Love how dynamic this guitar can be with the GK pickup. That said there are not may synthesizers out there other than Boss or Roland, so it is limited to only using their proprietary interface. When it comes to the regular pickup and other regular connections then it is just like any other guitar where you can add any pedals.

Ordered this because it was a blemished item at a good discount. Only thing is that the piezo on the A string did not work. I also could not get the piezo and the magnetic pickups to blend. Very bummed that the inspection that was indicated was done clearly was not.

The axe felt great, used the guitar and acoustic inputs and was humming along until I tried the synth 13 pin GK input. I was using the Boss SY-1000 when I plugged into my PA and immediately noticed that the top string was dead. The piezo built into the bridge had a bad transducer which left me with only 5 strings for synth. After purchasing another 13 pin cable and troubleshooting, it was clear that I received a Godin lemon. Reading reviews across different vendors it's obviously a reoccurring problem, so I returned the Godin. Roland makes a GK-3 divided pickup that can be installed on any guitar and deliver IMO better tracking than this Godin all-in-one. I'm feeling better about my Boss SY-1000 purchase getting away from this Godin Guitar. Bottom line is I think the synth piezo wired inside this guitar is much too susceptible to signal loss. I would recommend the Roland GK-3 divided pickup attachment over this guitar for synth exploration all day.
Definitly a players guitar, would recommend to anyone.

Hi, I need 2 chromed covers for my humbucker pickups. I have a flame Godin xtSA guitar. I would prefer the Godin ones, but otherwise i can have a third party covers that fits in.
These should work with your pickups: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Proline/Humbucker-Pickup-Cover-2-Pack-H70948.gc
