I did a lot of research before I bought this. The main points that sold me is the almost obvious sturdiness. These things are durable. They have a nice fan to cool things down. They have 3 high speed ports you can choose from including USB 3. I read a lot of comments from professional users including some production company people and they were sold on it. I'm also sold on the great warranty, in most cases I think it's 3 years and they have a data recovery plan that's free for a couple of years I believe. I did have some trouble formatting it, probably because I'm not really savvy on some of that stuff, but customer service was great, and walked me right through it. I mainly bought it to record audio live and edit videos at home. You pay more, but you get more. Marc.
