Mark Agnesi Talks About The Les Paul Junior Model

Frank Sidoris Demos The Les Paul Junior

Description
Gibson is proud to offer the Les Paul Junior solidbody electric guitar. This simple but tonally powerful guitar pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of the 1950s. Its mahogany body and neck provide a full, rich tone, while the dogear P-90 pickup delivers a range of vintage-inspired sounds. With just volume and tone control, dialing in your perfect tone is a cinch. The '50s-style neck profile offers comfortable playability and the wraparound bridge provides solid intonation.
Single-Cutaway Mahogany Body
The Les Paul Junior's single-cutaway mahogany body produces a tone that is full, rich and resonant. Mahogany's dense grain provides a warm, balanced tone that emphasizes midrange and bass. The single cutaway gives you easy access to the upper frets.
Dogear P-90 Pickup
The dogear P-90 pickup provides a range of vintage-inspired tones, from crisp cleans to smooth overdrive. With an Alnico V magnet and enamel-coated coil, this pickup delivers articulate highs, tight lows and a distinctive midrange crunch when overdriven.
Simple Controls Shape Your Tone
With just a volume and tone control, the Les Paul Junior gives you an uncomplicated way to shape your tone. Roll back the tone control to warm up the sound or turn it up for more high-end definition. The volume control offers a range of tones from clean to overdriven.
Comfortable '50s Neck and Solid Bridge
The Les Paul Junior's '50s-style neck profile offers a comfortable rounded shape that's ideal for chording and single-note playing. The wraparound bridge provides solid intonation for accurate tuning across the fretboard. Now available at Guitar Center, pick up your Les Paul Junior solid-body electric guitar today.

Gibson quality shines through
I purchased the 2019 Gibson Les Paul Junior about a month ago. I own various vintage US made guitars from the 1950's and 1960's. There is something special about the aged wood that brings out great tone. This Les Paul Junior convinced me that Gibson is back to making the finest guitars at competitive prices. The wood is fantastic, the frets and neck show fine craftsmanship, and the finish is flawless. Between the precise electronics and responsive pickup, the Les Paul Junior gets a wonderful range of sounds. I do not use pedals and the clean sound of the P-90 blends beautifully with other instruments. I appreciate the care that the skilled guitar builders at Gibson took in making my guitar. I am proud to own this fine instrument, and I know that many players after me will get great use of this guitar.

Great guitar - poor finish
Great tone, great neck, stayed in tune BUT what a poor finish. Wow. They never even leveled the finish and I could see that from a distance while on the wall. I played two of them and they were equally as bad. Gibson, get it together already. I would have bought one but now it will have to be used because of all of the work I'd have to do to it. The finish along the neck was wavy.

I will be using the guitar for gigs, rehearsal and studio. Easy to use with the one P-90. Tone control makes all the difference.

I had 5 Gibson LPs as well as Fenders and acoustics. Someone posted about having one and I said, man, I need one! I love the weight, simplicity and growl of the P90. I'm a steady gigging musician and I can see this being my main guitar. It does have a fat neck so know that in advance

This is the most articulate ax I played since a 98 mccarty. It's not broke in yet. I highly recommend it.

The 2022 junior is like a perfect storm. The fat neck, the set up and the resonance makes this ax my #1. And I'm Tele player since 69.

Can I get photos of the actual blemished guitar, or the phone number of the store where it is so that I can call and ask someone about the condition? Thanks, Rob
Unfortunately no photos are available but's it is in mint condition.Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.submitted6 years ago
