Gibson '70s Les Paul Custom | Demo and Overview with Nicholas Veinoglou

Description
The Gibson Les Paul Custom '70s electric guitar blends classic design with 1970s features for players who want vintage style and modern reliability. Built with a mahogany body and a three-piece maple top, this instrument’s multi-ply binding and choice of four finishes will make it stand out in the light on stage or in the studio. The maple neck uses a '70s profile and includes a volute for added strength, while the bound ebony fingerboard delivers smooth playability across 22 medium-jumbo frets. Handwired T-Type humbuckers with Orange Drop capacitors give the guitar a punchy, articulate sound—great for players chasing that iconic Les Paul tone with improved clarity. The included hardshell case protects the guitar during travel, making it a solid choice for gigging musicians and serious collectors alike.
Calibrated T-Type Humbuckers With Orange Drop Capacitors Shape Iconic Tone
Gibson installs calibrated T-Type neck and bridge pickups with handwired Orange Drop capacitors to deliver accurate, focused output. These humbuckers capture the rich, mid-heavy sound associated with vintage Les Paul guitars. Individual volume and tone knobs let players tweak their signal for more bite or warmth. The result is a guitar that cuts through a mix while keeping every note clear and distinct, especially in live or recording environments.
Gold Hardware and Grover Rotomatic Tuners Improve Tuning Stability
Gold-plated aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece anchor each string for reliable sustain. Grover Rotomatic tuners with Keystone buttons keep tuning accurate through long sets and heavy bends. Posi-Lok strap locks add security on stage, while the five-ply pickguard and Witch Hat knobs reflect true '70s style. These details ensure the instrument stays in tune and looks sharp, even after hours of playing.
Classic Les Paul Control Layout for Intuitive Setup
This guitar features the familiar four-knob control setup—two for volume, two for tone—allowing fast, simple adjustments. The layout keeps signal changes straightforward, while the handwired electronics offer a consistent response. Each knob sits within easy reach, so players can dial in their sound without interrupting their performance. The integrated controls make real-time tone shaping quick and reliable during a show or session.
Multi-Ply Binding and Ebony Fingerboard Add Durability
Multi-ply binding on the top, back and headstock protects against nicks and wear. The single-ply bound ebony fingerboard resists moisture and provides a solid, comfortable surface for fast runs or bends. The three-piece maple top increases structural integrity, while the volute at the neck joint reduces the risk of breakage. Combined, these features help the guitar maintain its playability and appearance across years of regular use.
Player Experience With the Les Paul Custom '70s Electric Guitar
Musicians looking for a durable, visually striking instrument with classic tone will find the Les Paul Custom '70s electric guitar delivers in real-world settings. The robust build, secure hardware and responsive controls help players focus on their music, from rehearsal rooms to tour stages. Every feature works together to support expressive playing and lasting performance.

This is 5th Gibson Les Paul that I have owned. It is perfect. It plays, sounds, and looks amazing. I have the ebony model. Its a work of art that is a musical instrument. No flaws whatsoever. Very happy with my purchase. I played in bands for years, now it's a hobby.

I purchased this for my son so he could retire his 1975 Gibson Les Paul custom. This will be his regular guitar for all his gigs and it's a beautiful piece of equipment

I can't say much to be honest. It really is one of the greatest LPs made in decades. I've owned many Gibson's in my life, but this 70s LP custom from Gibson USA is where it's at.
