A Must Have!

I purchased both the bridge and and neck covers in nickel for my Les Paul Classic Goldtop. Not only did they improve the asthetics of the guitar, but are also functional. The double black ceramics that came stock on this model Les Paul just didn't look quite right on a Goldtop. These covers also got rid of most of the hum and buzz that these high output pickups would put out. Pickup covers not only protect the coils, but provide the nessasary shielding to squelch any unwanted noise. Both of the Gibson covers look great and were easy to install with a soldering iron.

not on my Les Paul

This was suppose to fit most humbuckers, But apparently not on burstbucker 3's, hole don't line up. Now gotta go back to Guitar Center.

    I am using this product to replace old worn out, and faded out parts as needed to refurbish a used instrument . A few new parts and a little elbow grease helps to make what is old, new again.

    First, I have to say that this is the 2nd order regarding covers. I read reviews & followed advice of others recommending 2 neck covers due to comments of the bridge cover not lining up with the pole pieces. When I took my SG to my local Guitar Center, the luthier told me "it's a 50/50 chance that they'll fit". We'll, the 2 neck covers didn't fit so I had ordered a single bridge cover. So, my advice if you want to replace your pup covers or decide you want to cover your humbuckers with these covers, just order a neck & bridge cover and take the chance they'll fit....In the end, the inconvenience payed off. I was inspired by Gibson's SG Standard Gold Series Limited Edition axe in Alpine White w/gold hardware & wanted to add gold to the Cherry. The gold really enhances the cherry finish. The original covers are chrome so the sound from the pups hasn't changed. I'd like to say the gold enhances the sound! These covers are recommended for any cosmetic upgrade. Remember to keep the original hardware if you wish to sell or trade in the future...Next, possibly gold knobs with silver top...
