Finally a pickup strong enough

A bridge pickup needs bright but not too much, and mellow middle to accompany the jangle of the bridge. This pickup has it covered. This pickup is strong enough to accompany any neck pickup you may choose, excellent balance!
Another great Les Paul Custom!

Didn't like it. Had it in my 16 SG in the bridge. It's was too warm and fat and buttery. It didn't have the top end crispy goodness I like. It would work well for blues applications and probably for sludgy chunky rhythm. Swapped it for a Duncan Custom 5 and I'm much happier. It was hot but not a good hot. No definition. No presence. Maybe I got a bad one. Cheers!
Really Good

This pickup is a great pickup. It is really trebly though, so it is pretty good for pinch harmonics. It came loaded in my Gibson Les Paul Studio. This is one of Gibson's best pickups. It is extremely versatile and goes great with hi-gain amps/distortion pedals. I play a lot of metal/hard rock with this pickup but it could probably be used for country or jazz. It doesn't have the greatest clean sound but if you use it with a good amp it can get great distorted sounds. If you're looking for a great clean or vintage pickup maybe try a Burstbucker or a Seymour Duncan SH1.
big difference!

I installed this pickup in the bridge position of my Gibson sg faded special. I play alot of Black Sabbath and the original 490T that came in the guitar wasnt quite cutting it. Now, with the new 498T in my guitar it really woke up. Now I have the growl and increased mid's that I needed to get me the sound I was looking for. I think this is the way the Sg special's should come from the factory!

Just wondering, does this include the pair of humbuckers; the bridge and neck?
This is only for one humbucker. Not a pair.
