Description

The Gibson Custom M2M Flying V Custom electric guitar is a museum-quality recreation of a highly-prized classic. Handcrafted to exacting vintage specifications by the acclaimed artisans of the Gibson Custom Shop's Master-to-Master program, this Flying V captures all the magic of the original 1960s icons that helped define the sound of rock.

Iconic '60s Design Reborn With Custom Shop Precision

From its distinctive mahogany Flying V body with an AA maple top to the authentic '60s-spec slim-taper mahogany neck, every detail has been faithfully recreated. The round-profile rosewood fingerboard sports the original-spec 24.75" scale length, along with period-correct frets and inlays. You'll swear you just stepped through a time machine and picked up the real deal from the heyday of the '60s rock revolution.

Dual Humbuckers Unleash Vintage PAF Tone

Nestled in the iconic Flying V body are two meticulously aged pickups crafted in the image of the original PAFs that gave so many iconic recordings their unmistakable voice. These Custom Bucker humbuckers have been wound to precise vintage specs using Polysol-coated magnet wire. With their slightly lower output, you'll experience the warm, vocal midrange and sparkling highs that defined rock tones of the era.

Authentic Construction Down to the Finest Details

The Gibson Custom team has left no stone unturned in their quest for vintage accuracy with the M2M Flying V. Genuine vintage-style tuners, bridges, switch tips and pickup rings transport you back in time. The hand-wired control assembly uses the original wiring scheme and premium components. Even the nitrocellulose lacquer finish has been painstakingly aged to replicate decades of playing wear.

Uncompromising Playability and Sustain

From the first note, you'll be blown away by the resonance and sustain pouring out of this Flying V. The premium tonewoods and period-correct lightweight construction bring the guitar to life. The slim '60s neck profile is a joy to wrap your hand around, while the rounded fingerboard radius offers effortless playability. Every bend, vibrato and string articulation rings out in glorious detail.

This guitar is awesome, chunky neck, love the '58 Style V and in the glorious Silverburst. The Epiphone Brent Hinds is nice, but this guitar just feels perfect. Highly recommended! Pickups sound great, Ebony board is smooth, perfectly set up from the factory. The only thing I wish it had, was the true ABR1 drilled into the body, this has the posts, but it's not a dealbreaker or anything.
