I needed a replacement for the Ludwig P80 snare strainer and went with this because of its description and cheap price. It was a non starter. Didn't fit the Ludwig piccolo snare drum, drill holes were not a match, etc. I ended up trashing it and buying a Ludwig P80, which fit perfectly and works great. For me, the lesson learned is not to go with the replacement part that is "aftermarket". Pay the price and get exactly what is needed.

I had a drum that had a been repaired with a plastic throw-off, so I bought this in hopes it would work. Once I got it, I went to work on it straight away, and it fit with only slight modification to the drum. This is one of the smoothest, solid throw-offs I have ever used.
