Best monitor brand

This is their lowest price monitor, and it blows away anything that's not Genelec. I tried everything else in the store, the only thing remotely close was twice the price. These speakers don't handle bass well at all but have good low mids to add "weight" to people's voices. The rest of the frequency range is absolutely clear and crisp to the point where I'm hearing mistakes and clipping in professionally published mixes. Honestly, I'm thinking every other brand is filtering this stuff out to make people think their speakers are better. That must be why people complain that Genelecs are "too accurate". Get these if you're on a budget, get bigger ones if you're not. Don't waste your money on any other brand of monitor.
shockingly good for the price and size

Picked up a pair of these a week ago to replace a Focal sat-sub system that died a natural death. Previously, had a Genelec 8240+7270+GLM sat-sub system. These tiny things are an absolute joy, as long as the program isn't affected by the restricted bass. Great on acoustic.
Switching from headphones to monitors worth it!

What's the difference between the open box and the new one? Can I check if it's working at the store?
Open box is as it states. It's in new condition, it's just the box has been opened. And if they have it at your local store they can let you try them out before you buy them.
