Description
The Gemini AS Series continues in Gemini’s defining mission of providing professional DJs, entertainers, venues and business presenters with reliable, well-constructed sound reinforcement equipment at an affordable price. The AS Series is available in passive and active configurations, the active configurations additionally having Bluetooth connectivity as an option.

This is the Gemini AS-08P, a 2-way active PA speaker with 500W peak Class AB built-in power amplifier. It has an 8” woofer with 1” voice coil and a Piezo compression driver, and delivers a linear frequency response between 50Hz-19kHz. There are two mic inputs, both line and XLR, ¼ in. and RCA along with an LED clip alert light. Each input features high and low EQ.

It has a wide dispersion horn with forward firing bass reflex ports, and ABS impact-resistant nylon fiber cabinet, and top and side handles for easy carrying
Speakon input and output connectors, flyable and stand mountable.

    I used these primarily for small venues like conferences, banquets, karaoke, outdoor movies, home audio and in the garage. It's safe to say that these 8" speakers will not produce enough lows for anyone's satisfaction. The materials appear to have less quality than other brands. I usually mount these on speaker poles and the pole inserts feel like they were not going to last. That being said, the sound quality by itself is good if you do not turn the bass knob up too high. I pair these with a 12" Behringer 1200D powered sub so I can cut off the lows to these tiny speakers. I really like this setup because the small size and light weight make them very versatile. I have used them successfully for banquets, conferences and a ton of karaoke gatherings. I do feel that the company should've made the enclosure to have a wedge side so it can be used as floor monitors. These can only be pole mounted or sit upright so using them as floor monitors is impossible.
