Good cables. Plenty of length at home or recording studio. Could be longer for stage.

An Economy Back-Up Microphone Cable For The Price
When you purchase a new Shure SM58 microphone, it comes with this standard XLR 20 ft economy cable. For the price, it will definitely work. It has enough insulation to avoid unwanted hiss. The only problem is that the cable connection to the male and female plugs on both ends, tend to wear out quickly. For the price, I recommend this economy cable for an emergency back-up. You never know when, but one day you're out playing and a mic cable decides to die for one reason or another. It is always advisable to carry back-up cables with you just in case. Sometimes, it worth it to pay a little more for something durable that will last you a long time. To sum it up... this is a good emergency back-up cable for the price.

I'm currently using these cables in my home studio, and so far, they have proven to be a great value for the price. They function well and meet all my needs without any issues. However, if you're looking for top-notch quality, you might consider investing in Mogami Gold Studio cables, which retail for around $80 each.

can the cable be plugged into a standard 1/4 inch input on my amp
You could with an 'XLR' to 1/4' adapter. Or take a look at the Hosa PXF105 PXF-105 XLR Female to 1/4" Male TS Unbalanced Interconnect Patch Cable 5 ft.submitted5 years ago
