I play bassoon, there are no decent face masks for bassoonists because most are fabric and eventually get caught on your reed wires, and pull your reed off the bocal. So, I tried this mask as is, and it was too long long, ( I guess it's geared for a clarinet or a brass instrument. So I trimmed it down and was able to play an entire concert, and the rehearsal before hand with it on. Sometimes my mouth gets really dry with the mask on, and so I remember to take a water bottle with a straw so I can sip that once as needed, When the Omicron variant hit, I bought two more. I am thankful for anything that lets me perform with my orchestras, altho I know this is not the safest mask, it is better than nothing. The fit is pretty good and it doesn't hurt my ears.
