Gator GW-JM BASS Journeyman Bass Guitar Deluxe Wood Case

This is a great case that has the look of the "good'old days". Its perfect for protecting your bass without spending too much. It also has a unique color that is actually lighter than what you see in the pic. Very nice inside setup which has that old time elegance. The only bummer is that it is not stain or water resistant but that could easily be resolved using some scotchguard.

The case is not quality inspected. The exterior cover is bubbled up and not glued down. On the interior, the slat that keeps the neck from sliding is not cut properly and the guitar slides when picked up. This could damage my guitar. I ordered this only and will not make that mistake again.

Looks are great. Functionality is a big question mark. First off when case is closed, latches do not feel as if they are really "latched" they are latching closed but not snug. Loose for what a latch should be. Bigger problem is my bass (Fender Dimension IV) doesn't stay in the neck support. They neck support is cut out good enough, however, the foam on lid that needs to press down on bass, is not thick enough, So my bass slides out of the neck spoort and with a small thud, comes to rest not as the product intends it to be.
